Man. The first story. I would NEVER let a friend walk out the door in a strange city. If they absolutely had to have snacks, I’d have it delivered but never would I let go strolling 10 minutes into town. Made me very anxious.

The first story can be summed up very simply: Miami is a human trafficking hub. The OP was lucky that their stalker wasn't more persistent. Story two: Sweet summer child, yeah just disregard the creep that came up to you, lay down and close your eyes... that creeper behavior escalated pretty quickly by the end. Attempted abduction for sure. Story three: I hate it when people fuck with you via text/unknown number, and they clearly know you but you don't know who it is. I was wondering how this guy got the OP's information when they were travelling, so I'm glad OP addressed that part cause that was my big hangup with that story.

I disagree with the phone number blocking cause that’s how the person in story three tricked the stalker into getting caught by the police. If they never tricked them, the police wouldn’t have been able to make an arrest. Getting someone in trouble for stalking is actually really difficult.

As a guy who lived in Miami in 2021 I advise all the tourists DO NOT go on spring break or any other vacation time. Lots of people go and party for a few weeks. That is the worst time to be there with all the gang activity and violence. I would highly recommend going anytime in January when you have the least amount of tourists that was when I went to vacation this year, my motel was only $95 for a few nights and everything still jumping and going also just not as many people or crime.

@@SA-hz1rs very true it’s just not as bad during spring break or the summer. I was there last January and had no problems. I was walking around South Beach at 4 AM by myself while picking up a Cuban chick giving me head on the way back to her hotel. I was actually in Miami on spring break 2022 and it actually got pretty chaotic. I was walking in South Beach and I saw five Miami Beach cop cars with their sirens and when I got to the scene it turned out that there was a shoot out at some clothing, store with glass everywhere and a wounded person, it literally was like the dadeland Mall massacre

I was a little bit confused by story 1. She said she wanted to go out and get something to eat, but all her friends declined the offer to go with her. Then one of them did offer, though wasn't going to buy anything. So she said "That's fine," but went on her own anyway? Saying "That's fine" suggests to me she was accepting the offer, but was actually declining it? So she obviously meant "No, I'll be fine." But why ask for someone to go with her, then turn down an offer, and go alone anyway? It makes no sense. I'm glad she got back alright, though.

In the 2nd and 3rd stories as a guy I never understand the creep approach. Like it feels like common sense to not creep on people 40 years younger than you or that the wrong way to hit on a girl is to get her number through connections and stalk her basically. All these guys that are creeps seem like they need some serious mental help

There seems to be an unsettling amount of negligence to this day with some businesses whose staff are unwilling to cooperate when guests are being harassed. They'll always say "there's nothing I can do" and/or "it's against policy....something something...". I can't help but feel like that's treading in "obstruction of justice" territory. Ladies, if some unwanted fellow really is hot on your trail the idea is to make a commotion and go so far as to aim for the groin area if not the eyes if the perv gets too close for comfort. Fortunately I'm a guy who's a walking ad for abstinence so no one in their right mind would try anything with me. If it came to that, it's either strong words, OC spray, or a jacketed hollow point to the midsection if cornered with no way out. I don't have time for such foolishness and neither should you.

It’s crazy all the money ppl spend and if you sit and think about it, is the food really that good? Are those drinks really that good? Are the beaches really that good and worth all the bs? The answer is NO. I was there unfortunately last November and it was just as awful and def reminded me why I stay away lol. My daughter and I was approached, not even being there a half an hour on ocean blvd, broad daylight, to buy cocaine. I’m like damn they have def stepped up their game😒 we went from being asked to buy weed to straight coke now lol…folks go blow your money on a diff spring break destination lol
