The other night I was binging on these stories & getting pretty freaked out. I live alone. I heard a loud ka-thunk" at my front door & my pets ran like someone was trying to get in. I couldn't see anyone but I heard doors opening & closing. I hid in my kitchren in case I needed a knife. Turned out it was the Amazon guy delivering a big box at 9:30 pm. I only confirmed in with a photo on my account. I was too freaked out to get it. 🤣🤣🤣 Moral of the story: these stories do their job of freaking me out

This response is for the little door in the room if it's locked on the inside means it unlocks from the inside which would have gave me the impression that you are not alone the owner is in there and the smartest thing you ever did was leave before you couldn't

Welcome to Las Vegas! I live here and I will tell you that it is the weirdest place I have ever lived. You can drive a mile on the same street and pass million dollar homes and run down poor homes. The way Vegas developed and continues to develop just makes it the strangest mix of affluent and impoverished I have ever seen.

Vegas has a lot of houses that are in bad neighborhoods, but flippers are remodeling them and, of course, selling them. They look great on zillow. Nice kitchen, nice bathrooms, and often a pool. But when you look at the area on the map - yikes! Bars on windows, old rundown vehicles everywhere, poorly maintained homes and yards, etc. There is a reason they are priced $100-200k lower than comparable homes in other areas. It's good they are trying to make the areas nicer, but I sure wouldn't want to live there before all the other homes are improved and better people move in.
@mrnt12572 жыл бұрын
But when the other homes are rehabbed the prices will be ⬆️

I use to watch Vegas house flip shows and other remodeling. I agree I don't care how new or remodel the house is. It can be on haunted ground or house. Always check the area. Trust no one.

I have watched several of these stories now. A few of them take place in Vegas. A lot of folks don't realize Vegas is a real sh**hole. It's full of indebted, drug addled, desperate people. Unless you live in a gated community, many of the neighborhoods are gross. There is a reason hotels are more expensive. They have security. Splurge for the Strip. Or expect encounters with the dregs of Vegas.

When I lived in Lancaster PA, my ex was laid off from his job. We lost our apartment, so we started to stay weekly in a motel. I went outside to smoke cigarettes, when I was smoking outside on the second night a man named Ted came up and started talking to me. I interacted as not to seem rude, he began inching his way over to me. My room was in the hallway closet to the door, he watched me walk into my room. My ex was given work finally after 2 months of being without work. While he was at work I was in the motel room with my then 1 year old daughter and 2 year old son. We were sleeping in the bed when I woke up to see a red light on my room door, then the light on the lock turned green. Then a banging sound from whoever was out there pushing the door open as the latch held the door shut. Thankfully he did not get in, my ex got back at 7 am to find a kitchen knife on the on the floor under the door outside of the room. We told the front desk. They pulled up security camera footage to ask if I knew the man they saw, it was Ted the man that came up and started a conversation containing some of the weirdest questions I've ever been asked. What kind of shampoo do I use? Am I wearing my natural eyes? What's my favorite kitchen tool? Do I like fire? What's my shoe size? Do I like onion's? Absolutely creepy.

Taking every review into account comment. I had went to this seclude beautiful house in Joshua Tree, immediately got sick, but not like a cold cough type of way, just constant feeling of someone watching, unease and anxiety, my limbs would lock up and I genuinely felt concerned. My wife who is originally from Germany was fine the whole time. The house was Native American themed and in the middle of the night I would wake up and shine light on the backyard where I kept hearing noise ( I am a lite sleeper) You had to drive on a dirt road which felt like hours to find it but was 15 mins, and we joked it was like a horror movie. Nothing significant happened besides the unease as mentioned but then I went back to read the reviews and saw so many people said similar things but were chaulking it up to seclusion, I felt like the Native American decor was disrespectful, but my wife again German loved it (they have a fondness for them). I took her to look at the stars and I couldn't even go outside, I got violently cold. It wasn't even bad. It just gave me The Shinning Vibes.

I can’t imagine cutting a Vegas vacation short over an older woman being a little weird in an SUV. Cmon, grandma, try me. Then again, I wouldn’t get an AirBnB unless I had no other option. Too much can go sideways and good luck getting your money back if the owner puts up any resistance. Also, if that’s the strangest thing that’s ever happened to you, you’ve lived a very uneventful life.
@gabriallefleming76112 жыл бұрын
I know. I was thinking, where do you live that you don't encounter nutty people all the time? She's probably a druggie with nothing to do, you spoke to her & drew her interest. In the 1st story, I figure that granny had a little dementia & the fact that there's new neighbors every day doesn't help. Felt kinda bad for her. The 2nd story-when I saw the situation, I would've asked for a refund & gone to a cheap motel.
