I have childhood/teenage scars that have caused me to always feel like I’m not good enough. I have “managed” these feelings for most of my young adult life, but they always rise to the surface of my mind at the worst times. I beat myself up over any mistake I make. Today was one of those days. I searched for a sermon on confidence to listen to for my drive home from work, and this is the video I was drawn to. All I can say is THANK YOU for letting God speak and move through you. This message brought me to tears and after praying, I feel such a peace and comfort resting in God’s love like never before. I know I will have to continually pray on this matter whenever those thoughts arise, but I feel better equipped for it now. Bless you all!

replayed this morning thank you for you message. I go through doubt that I am good enough because I am judged by my sister I call the bible belter. I have done nothing but give so much of myself to help her kids and grandkids I lost myself in all the struggles. I've struggled w inadequacy for so many years I've accepted it as being normal. Nothing changes that feeling...prayer, reading the word, worship music, sermons, church, therapy, medication, self help books, excercise, groups...nothing takes away the negative voice in my head. The voice may quiet for a moment, but it always comes back. What does 'being set free' truly mean? It feels like my shackles are permanent...

It sounds like the shakles have loosened friend. Stay at it, keep putting God's promises in you, keep asking God to work through you. You are enough, you are loved...just as you are.
