Hi Chef! I felt touched sa episode na ito. Bicolano din po mama ko, Rose din po nickname niya (Rosario). She passed away 10 years ago na po. She taught me how to cook at a very young age. She also taught me how to speak Bicolano. Once lang ako nkapunta ng Bicol dahil malayo sa probinsiya kung saan kami naninirahan. This vlog urges me to visit again. 🤍

Chef, as a Bicolana, this vlog makes me so extra happy! Medio naiiyak pa nga ako while watching haha kasi miss ko na sobra ang lola at lolo ko, who hail from Sorsogon and Albay, respectively. Laking Manila ako pero nakapag-spend din ng ilang summers sa Bicol growing up. I have fond memories of eating Bicol Express and rice for breakfast at makipaglaro sa local kids sa may malapit na sapa. Life was so simple then! Thank you for taking me down memory lane with this trip. Sana makabisita ako ulit sa Bicol soon.
