This is a very important informational video for all the spouses out there that can't understand why we need three shovels to maintain the walks and driveway in the winter (or cant understand why I need 9 different types of hammers or drills). Mine are slightly different models than yours, but serve the same three functions. As a fourth tool for ice chipping/scraping, I also have the trusty True Temper ice scraper. This is the special teams of tools, only needed for certain circumstances. So that makes four tools leaning against the wall on my porch at all times during the winter. Leaving a shovel-width rust stain on the concrete. The stain usually disappears by the time the next winter rolls around, just in time to create new ones. Just part of the cycle of life here in PA.

After our first winter shoveling our new large half circle driveway, we bought a good quality snow thrower, barely needed it the next few winters, and now we can't get it to start. It probably needs a new carburetor. So we are back to two basic types of shovels, one that's better for lifting snow and the second one he shows that is good for pushing/plowing snow. You need at least those 2 kinds plus a very strong metal one for breaking ice.

I'm from Vermont and I traded my shovels in for a scoop! That baby moves snow! Of course you still gotta have a couple bad boys around for certain occasions

You don’t know snow until you have been to the east coast! Great for making snowmen but is it heavy to shovel 😓

If you live in Michigan you got the snow plow for the hill billies up north cuz they have super long driveways, you got snow blowers for the rich people (but in my experience snow blowers suck because they don’t work too well with super deep snow) and you got the shovels for all the normal people

Who needs a snow blower when you have 2 healthy, young, strong kids and just enough shovels for each. 👍🏻 Just a little trick my dad taught me

As a minisotan I agree but go with steel for the utility one so it scrapes the car tracks and use a longer handle plastic one for the bucket and use the monster of a shovel to clean up after the long boi

the big scoop shovel can do some real damage to the pile up at the end of the driveway when the snowplow goes through, that's when you really start sweatin it up. After I moved out of the house my dad bought a snowblower haha...

I'm north westerner, my neighbors have that stuff but we just have a plastic shovel in the shape of number 1. That thing has been chipped to hell but she's still used for shoveling the snow. My parents send me out there and for the next hour my back is in so much pain.

For the light dusting up to 1 1/2” of snow, leaf blower. Done in half the time and more time ice fishing.
