Great video yet again. I could see the 2 puzzle games getting ported on to a collection to the Evercade in the future and then having a megadrive release.
@RetroGamerBoy3 жыл бұрын
Yes, that is a great idea. It would be awesome to see them on the Evercade.

Hey Mike! Love your vids! I'm a fellow sega fan like yourself. I recently picked up some genesis homebrew carts that I haven't really been seeing many people talking about so I thought I'd mention them to you in case you haven't heard of them. One is called Heavy Duty, made by a fellow from the russian federation, I picked mine up on etsy. Neat little run n gun (ok walk n gun)that gameplaywise feels a bit like rolling thunder. Pretty fun one! Then there's another called Mega Casanova XXX. It's like a dating game lol, but seems humorous etc. Then there is Metal Blast 2277, I think also by a Russian chap. Fun (but hard as balls) run n gun. I need more practice w that one. Also don't know if you've covered this one or not but MegaXmas 89, it's a neat Santa skiing game. Cheers, and thanks for putting on a great channel!

Thanks Mike for the 3 lovely games to start off the week! I think Alter Ego is really cool, it has some elements of bomberman but I would definitely go for Shrine maiden Shizuka, it reminds me of SMS Kenseiden.

Retrosouls should sell compilations with their mini games, such as Megagames bundles. For example, Misplaced+Alter Ego+Old Towers. I would buy it. Yazzie, Gluff or Gavyboots are good puzzle games too.

That would be awesome, maybe one of the physical publishers can pick them up.

Another great video Mike I didn’t know about Misplaced and Alter Ego game them both look great something I could play with my kids as for Shrine Maiden Shizuoka I’ve found out about it a few months ago I would definitely love to own all 3 for my Sega mega drive collection 👍

Shine Maiden was really impressive. Like I said I think that has some real potential.

The more you talked about Misplaced the more interesting it became. I like the gradual tutorial and it being worked organically into the gameplay; that's a good sign of a fine game in my book. The "Mike's Old" pop ups are great BTW. Shrine Maiden Shizuka has got my interest--I'm liking what I'm seeing here.

This isn't a knock on the Retrosoul games because they look briliiant, but I would rather play them on a NES. It would be a perfect fit for the machine in terms of number of sprites, palettes, music, and I'm sure you could squeeze them in a 32k cartridge without a mapper like the great homebrew Micro Mages.

I wonder if Evercade is trying to get those puzzle games on a physical cart. That seems like a good fit (although I don't own one) Also, can you believe people crap on the Genesis sound chip?? I think FM sound is beautiful!

I love the sound chip in the MD. Why would you want every console to reproduce the same experience? This was the beauty of these older consoles for me. Evercade does seem like a good fit for these games.
