With Tithing Blade, mephitic draught, and blood fountain mono Black Control has many ways of increasing devotion and also many option for deadly dispute sacrifices... For me gray merchant of asphodel has many options to shine and we can also keep an eye on mashmist titan.

Agreed! I actually just did a Deck Review for Mono Black Devotion and how I still love the deck and that it'll always be lingering around as an extremely viable deck, it just is out paced by other faster decks in the format currently but hell yah I love MBD!

Tithing blade is great for Mardu for the back side, it was never a problem with Ub terror (mono u terror is more difficult); with the backside you have a good condition even against flicker tron (that was a impossible before)

I know a lot of players that had troubles with the Terror matchups due to the soft burn removal not being enough to destroy their creatures meaning you were sometimes wasting multiple burn spells plus paying ward costs. This is a easy work around against the 5 toughness creatures. Just my thoughts.

Me too! I wanted to get the word out before Paupergeddon! I think that players deserve to see that Boros Synthesizer got a new weapon and it can bring them back to the top level again!

Wishing there was at least one decent merfolk at common in this set... my dreams of merfolk tribal in pauper will be fulfilled one day!

There have been some deck builds that have tried before but wasn't quite enough pay offs in the early turns but the goblin tomb raider being a hasty 2/2 makes it worth the deck slots for lotus petal.

Love the infect simic deck! I was working on a rakdos artifact deck for fun but it doesn't seem to have a clear endgame

I've been a longtime lover of Infect, unfortunately when they banned a few key cards of the deck it really hindered it but with this new "Relics Roar" enabling T2 wins again it makes it worth looking into since the name of the game in Pauper currently is speed and hyper aggro decks.

T1 Epicure, T2 1 Swiftspear and up to 2 Tomb Raiders if you play a Lotus Petal into another Raiders. That would be 7 damage on T2 right? 1 from Epicure, 2 from each GTR, and 2 from the Swiftspear off prowess for Lotus Petal... This is Christmas land draw but dang if that isn't an amazing turn 2!

T2 Play Mountain, cast kicked Goblin Bushwhacker, attack (-10) T3 Play Mountain, cast Monastery Swiftspear, cast lightning bolt to opponents face (-3), swing with all creatures (-7) GG from Magical Christmas Land

Why suggest ash barrens for infect instead of say evolving wilds?

Well they are similiar but ash barrens offers more as you can decide eot to get your land while holding one mana open and cycle But i just woke up and might be totally wrong 😂

@@TheGahta the issue is that the deck has literally no uncoloured funnel meaning the strength of ash barrens, being able to play it in a pinch, is voided
