Recipe :
3 Veg Momos with Chutney
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1 tsp vinegar
½ tsp salt
Water to knead
Mix veg stuffing:
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp chopped garlic
1 tsp chopped ginger
¼ cup chopped onion
¼ cup chopped carrot
¼ cup chopped beans
1 cup chopped cabbage
1 tbsp chili paste
1 tsp soya sauce
1 tbsp vinegar
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Paneer Stuffing:
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp chopped garlic
1 tsp chopped ginger
¼ cup chopped onion
¼ tsp chopped capsicum
1 cup grated paneer
¼ cup chopped cabbage
1 tbsp chili paste
1 tsp soya sauce
1 tbsp vinegar
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Soya Stuffing:
1 cup soya granules
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp chopped garlic
1 tsp chopped ginger
¼ cup chopped onion
¼ cup chopped cabbage
1 tbsp chili paste
1 tsp soya sauce
1 tbsp vinegar
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
20 whole red chilies
1 tbsp garlic
½ onion
3 tomatoes
Salt to taste
2 tbsp vinegar
Method:
Add salt and vinegar to the flour. Dd sufficient water to knead to a stiff yet smooth dough.
Set the dough aside to rest for 20 minutes.
Mix veg stuffing:
Heat oil in a pan. add chopped ginger and garlic.
Allow the ginger garlic to turn golden.
Add the chopped onions, all the remaining vegetables and sauté on high heat for 2 minutes.
Add soya sauce, vinegar, chili paste, salt, pepper. Mix well and remove from heat.
Add 1 tbsp flour to prevent filling from turning runny.
Paneer stuffing:
Heat oil in a pan. add chopped ginger and garlic.
Allow the ginger garlic to turn golden.
Add the chopped onions, capsicum, paneer, cabbage and sauté on high heat for 1 minutes.
Add soya sauce, vinegar, chili paste, salt, pepper. Mix well and remove from heat.
Add 1 tbsp flour to prevent filling from turning runny.
Soya Stuffing:
Soak soya granules in hot water for 10 minutes. Drain and wash well with fresh water. Squeeze out all extra moisture.
Heat oil in a pan. add chopped ginger and garlic.
Allow the ginger garlic to turn golden.
Add the chopped onions, soya granule and sauté on high heat for 2-3 minutes.
Add soya sauce, vinegar, chili paste, salt, pepper. Mix well and remove from heat.
Add 1 tbsp flour to prevent filling from turning runny.
Knead the dough again for 2 minutes and break into marble sized balls.
Roll out the balls as thin as you can.
Place a tablespoon of stuffing in the center and cover. Shape as suggested in the video.
Steam the prepared momos for 10-12 minutes till the skin is transparent. Serve with momo chutney.
