I’m even more basic I use a Wheeler’s widget so a plastic bucket drilled in the base inside another bucket. Wrapped with hw tank insulation. I have a 10g version for prototyping, a 15l for production and a 23l for high gravity 15l brews. I heat the water with a portable sous vide machine. I boil in a stock pot on a linked induction hob. I have to turn it down when boiling. My beer is absolutely delicious.

DIY buckets with elements , think many of us who have been brewing for a while can remember buying and cannibalising Asda smart price kettles for the elements . I wonder how many coolbox searches on Argos this video will cause .

Used to brew with a 3 vessel system then went to a grainfather and finally a brewtools. Still think about going back to the 3 vessel system as there's things which are much easier to do with one than an all in one.....

Well, I didn't win, but my daughter is now brewing via video.with dad, her uni accommodation has no problem with her brewing "safely" & have asked for samples to be left at the front desk, she is happy to oblige & the staff are waiting for results, will be treating her to some cheap PET kegging / dispensing kit as she gets there, nice lightweight solution that can be hung in a string bag on a spare hook when not in use.

Education, entertainment and great customer service to back it all up. Thanks for another great video. There's a genuine appeal in this "back to basics" approach, in terms of knowing what's going on with your brew and it's something I'd love to try. Perhaps I'll develop a lower ABV version of the beer and call it "Low Energy Lightbulb". (Hope Verdant doesn't pinch my Idea).

A very similar setup to what i used for years before getting an all in one. I still think this 3 vessel setup is quicker start to finish and yields better efficiencies. will two kids an all in one just requires less physical interaction. I have however gotten two of my friend into all grain now and they are currently sharing my old (and now slightly decrepit) setup.
