Thank you so much for this video! There's so many wig videos and topper videos on reviewing the actual wig or how to deal with hair loss but there's not a whole lot of videos that get down to the nitty gritty details such as window wear certain type of wig or certain style. So I found this video extremely helpful and I'd love to see more of these type of videos! One topic in particular that I seem to not be able to find any information on at all is wearing a wig/topper during sex, like how to prevent the hair from becoming matted or ruining the hair and stuff like that. As an aside…this video really reminded me of a time 50 years go when marching in the Mardi Gras with our high school drill team…wigs were just coming out. I had a pony tail and short wig. The weather was very wet as windy. I wore my shirt wig. Best choice! I looked good the entire time and had nice pictures! I love the wig you are showing and will consider buying.

I would've been in heaven with wigs when I was in marching band..but in the early 80's it wasn't as acceptable for some reason. I often wonder why wigs were popular back in 50s-60's, etc.. but then fell out of favor sometime in the 80's? It's probably why I was into my later 40's before "giving" in and trying them..lol. My youngest’s graduation weather conditions were very similar. We were living in Kansas at the time and he was going to Penn in Philadelphia so we had to fly. I had purchased a darling outfit for the day and once we got to the stadium it was so cold, rainy and windy. The only difference was I didn’t wear wigs back then. Hello Sharon! Thank you! My oldest is faring pretty well. He is in the process of being medically discharged from the Airforce.. these things take a long time. He is as healthy as he will be.. some lingering hip and knee pain and a bit of vision issues, but nothing that will prevent him from driving, working, etc.. We are BLESSED! Julianne is one of my favorites!!! I think you are spot on - This is the piece for inclement weather. But it does raise a question, how did you secure her? I have a petite Julianne and an average. My petite fits me best but there is no room for a grip (and who wants to wear one with a hand-tied wig anyway!). I have glued the lace down but don't feel like that would be strong enough under those conditions (and the glue is water soluable). So, I'm wondering how you held her on good and tight. And congrats to your son! Glad he got to walk. ☺

This is great info! I think I most of my wigs have weftng but are also wavy or curly so I'm hoping they will not be detected if they get wet. I'm planning to bring my Wynter and Kelsey to Mexico and will be around the pool and water, and it tends to get pretty windy later in the day so we will see how they hold up. Can you tell me what style wig D is? That is so cute! I think my next wig is going to be a longer angled bob style like Raquel Welch's On Point and D looks like a shorter version.

That's a beautiful wig. Too bad it does not come in large. I have a 23" noggin...cannot find a decent wig to fit me. Sooooo...I purchased a large full-lace cap from the UK, and am currently hand-tying my own wig! It is coming out so beautifully...using a blend of synthetic and human hair. It is a tedious process, but I enjoy it. Wish me luck!

Thank you for sharing your experience and your new perspective on hand tied wigs. As a new wig wearer I couldn’t quite get the value for the added cost. Now I do! Living in Florida it just might be mandatory! Question of wavy wigs like yours, is it recommended to comb them? I use a large wig comb on it dry but I feel like I might be pulling the wave or curl out. Is that just newbie nerves?

Thanks Lee Ann! I use a wide tooth comb to gently pick and fluff the curl.. I avoid combing all the way through. However, on most synthetics, you can spritz some water and scrunch to bring back the original curl. 💛💛💛
