I have a question. Can you use a script that makes multiple buttons, instead of having to manually write scripts and open Menu > Add Button for each. Can I create and run scripts to do that?

I wish we could, but that’s not currently possible. While we can create shapes with a script, there is no way to allocate the script to the shape.

Can you save the button as a style instead of using a script?

I don't think it's possible to save a shape style, and if we can I doubt that transfers across workbooks. I'm happy to be wrong on this, as I must admit that I didn't test that scenario.

Hi, I have a question. I have Office 365 and can build my scripts there, but unfortunately, I don't have the ability to name shapes or even change their appearance in the online version of Excel. When I try to name a shape like in the video, I get the error message: "This operation is not yet supported in Excel Online." Also, Office Script is not available in my desktop version. Is there a special version of Excel Desktop that I need to use to access these features?

It just depends when your IT department updates the version of Excel installed on your PC. Just because you can't name a shape in Excel online, it just means they haven't build the interface yet. You can still write a script to name a shape.
