A 5 inch drone absolutely can chop a finger off. It is a hard/sharp piece of plastic spinning at around 35,000rpm.

@@KaiVertigoh I had a question if anyone could answer me! Do you need a special license or something to make money with your drone in Canada? I know you need a part 107 license in USA and wasn’t sure if you needed something similar in Canada also if so does that also apply to a drone Under 250 grams like a dji mavic mini or dji mini 2

Hey kai, im from belgium and looking to start FPV. I have never flew a drone before but would you recommend the DJI FPV drone for a first drone and maybe practise normal mode first, maybe then simulator for fpv and then fpv itself? Or should i first buy another normal drone to start flying without worrying to crash such an expensive drone.
@KaiVertigoh3 жыл бұрын
Hey Matthice! If you are still unsure of what to buy, I would recommend looking into a cheaper drone like a tinywhoop kit (Like the BetaFPV one) just to see if you like it. If you are already sure you want to invest into FPV, and you don't want to deal with the process of learning to build, fix, and program your drone, I would personally recommend buying into the DJI FPV kit as it will save you a lot of time and just get you in the air (as it also includes a simulator on top of the smart flying modes) However if you are sure you want to get into the entire zone of FPV, then I would recommend looking into buying parts to build one, and go from there. Let me know how your journey goes! Good luck!!

Hey. I’ve seen your footage and it’s really nice. I have the cinewhoop and I’m able to fly it alright in between trees and out and turn when I want to. I just find it hard to follow people or objects. What tips do u have for that?

Could you share a range of how much to charge for fpv service?
@KaiVertigoh2 жыл бұрын
This is a great question! I’ve thought about making a video sharing specific rates, but I just have not as I have yet to compare my rates to other professionals in the scene, and I would rather get a common sense of what everyone else is charging before I speak for multiple people. It’s definitely a topic I would be willing to tackle with more research though, so I will remember your comment Charles!

My biggest question mark is how do I get the propper insurance to cover my commercial FPV operations? A lot of companies would never even think of hiring you if you don’t have some sort of insurance. I can’t seem to find information on how to navigate this side of the business.
@JOPEYDOPE Жыл бұрын
Usually you would just get "public liability insurance" that covers you if anything goes wrong
@yunghysterik5 ай бұрын
There are a bunch of drone insurance companies. I use one called Airmodo which allows you to purchase insurance policies by the hour or by the day whatever you need. Liability limits from $1m to 25m, Cost starts at $9 an hour for $1m liability coverage, but pricing varies on location. Seems to cost more if you're in airspace that is somewhat restricted of course.
