""Just Get Started". Thanks Pete. One thing an old friend used to tell me, when I lacked motivation, is to Just plan to do 10 minutes of what ever it is you are struggling to start. Because if you just manage 10 minutes of something, you've achieved something, but most likely, you will spend more than 10 minutes doing the thing, and feel like you have accomplished a lot more. Dainer made promotes the "Just Get Started", and I think that is a brilliant mantra. Now to put all of this wisdom to use..!

We (paid to) remodel our house, but the design for the kitchen we wanted was WAY too expensive ($80k+!) so... we built it ourselves. Cost was $14k plus time. Super proud.

A table saw, and a pair of sawhorses with an old door was my entry to this hobby. Slowly the backyard is turning into an outdoor workshop. And pallet wood storehouse. The last bit is a tad upsetting to the missus, so I guess I better do something about that. Take care & stay safe.

This is so true! I couldn't put up a shelf 15 years ago. Now I've installed beautiful kitchens, bathrooms. Added loads of value to a house we sold, not to be boastful but to push that with a little time and effort anyone can do it. And it feels so good 🔨

Love it Mid renovation myself and you just need to crack on and have a go. The cost of materials has sky rocketed so adding on paying someone else has sadly gone out the window. My workflow is idea - KZbin and research for how - have a go

Love this Pete, great summary. I and I know lots of others will be able to massively relate to this. Just coming to the end of my first renovation. A live in, take-your-time, 5 year jobbie. It's not been plain sailing but the amount of skills learnt along the way is very satisfying and now building my own home one day feels like a real possibility.

I like your videos, very interesting watching people having ago at DIY? However i feel if you just invested some funds into buying some additional tools? Such as a brad nailer, either electric or compressor, this is feel would help you in many of your projects and give you the time to excel in the projects you undertake? Keep making the videos. 😊

Great video m8 must say I started this through helping build my kitchen which was proper fun. and now must say here we are trying to go full business human this year just need get the old socials out there and get customers. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👍 Ps tools are helpful. Although a think were on same wave legnth to get started only need a few. 🤔
