I’ve used vellum with embossing folders many times over the years. It’s so pretty. With the cut and embossing folders it can look like lace. I like to color it on the back with pastels or pencils. The results are stunning. I’ll have to try some metallic paste. Thanks for the idea 👍🏽

I don’t use vellum because I find it stupid expensive. Instead I use tracing paper that I buy in the art supply aisle. I cut it up and send it through my textures embossing folders using my normal sandwich. I’ve never had a problem with tracing paper cracking or tearing. If you are have trouble with vellum maybe try tracing paper.

Absolutely beautiful! Not sure what the new technique was, unless it was the way you said you shimmed with layers of paper! Which I didn’t see in this video, however that is a common technique with fragile papers and I am happy you mentioned it, as every embossing machine applies different pressure. One of my machines has a silicone mat to use for 3D impressions

Glad you loved the card! The 3 techniques are popped up on titles throughout video to help everyone see the techniques, but new-to-me technique is adding lunar paste to embossed vellum. I absolutely ❤️ this effect and was so excited to show the amazing results. The sandwich I used was with the platinum 6 -base, embossing folder and 4 shims of paper. Thanks for watching!😊

I just recently bought velum by mistake and wanted to try it as decopauge paper... What do you think? I also didn't see 3 ways to use the velum in your video as I only saw the one heart .. did it miss the others?

I haven’t tried it as decopauge paper so not sure on that. The 1st 2 techniques were die cutting and embossing the vellum. Main part of video is the lunar paste in the heart.

You have to have something that creates some pressure on the paper. I’m not sure how else you would do this. I have heard of people using a rolling pin over an embossing folder but I haven’t ever tried it to see if it works. 😊💕

Depends on what type of paste you are using. The lunar paste is very difficult to remove from a brush and hardens like plastic.
