I did this hairstyle today and love it! A tip for others! If you have trouble doing this on yourself pin down the base of the loop with a bobby pin. That way you can do the hairstyle without loosing your grip on everything. :)

I have EXTREMELY long hair and I have gotten so frustrated with the limited things I can do with it. So I took some time out to search and found CGH tutorials. I had already known how to french braid so I had a bit of a good start there, but these tutorials are WONDERFUL for me! I have used almost every one of these braids on my hair or my daughters hair and they look amazing! I get complements all the time on my braids and I let them all know where to find them at! THANKS A BUNCH CGH for taking the time to help us ladies out with our hair emergencies, especially us ladies with long hair! ;)

This is extremely frustrating. I cannot get this. All I get is a massive tangle. (Which, admittedly, I could sneeze too hard and my hair would turn into a tangled mess.) But I can't figure out what you're doing. I even rope-braided my hair to try and make it easier to grab, but no dice. I can't do it blind and following along and I SERIOUSLY cannot do it in a mirror where everything's reversed. (I have a hard enough time doing a rope braid in a mirror it's so disorienting, so I should've seen that coming. Again, I digress.) I'm extremely annoyed because while you make this seem easy to do, I can't figure it out. The written instructions don't help, either. I'm also ironically annoyed at myself for being so riled up about it, it's just a hair knot. XD; I throw in the towel on this one for now. I can do loads of things with my mass of hair, but apparently this is not going to be one of them. At least for a bit.

I've learnt how to do these on myself and I usually do 3 at the back of my head, one near the top of the back of my head, one at the nape of my neck, and one between. They usually fall out quite easily but spraying them with hairspray has let me keep them in all day without them coming out.
