Best of luck to you. Chemo can suck, but your hair will grow back and it will be even more beautiful, I know

By no means the same thing (I hope you’re doing well) but I had a breast reduction nearly a month ago now, when I had my drains taken out, because my stitching was so tight It was absolute agony, I have never been in so much pain! I’m glad to hear it wasn’t at all like that for yourself 😁 I have nipple necrosis on my right breast and it is slowly but surely starting to heal. I did the exact same thing of looking at google and it scared the life out of me! My prayers are with you through your journey ❤️ x

Oh my gosh! That was so frightening! Thought I was going to lose my whole nipple. Did your doctor give your a Rx for Metro Gel to open the blood vessels and get more flow and healing? You have to only use a tiny tiny bit as it will lower your blood pressure. I mixed maybe a 1/8 inch of it in with my antibiotic cream. I'm sorry you are recovering during this pandemic. I feel for the women dealing with breast cancer now too! Also, the resident who took out my drain stiches cut me up and honestly, that was the most painful part of my breast cancer treatment!

Andrea Rodgers Andrea Rodgers it’s a really scary process to go through! No he didn’t, this may be because I already have low blood pressure though but thankfully it is healing better now. From two weeks ago it looks unrecognisable and I’m amazed at how much it’s healed in such a short period of time. The timing is far from ideal but I’m currently on lock down for the next two months or so as I have Cystic Fibrosis and can’t risk infection. I really hope you’re staying happy and healthy through all of this as I know it’s a scary time for everyone x

Andrea Rodgers well thank you so much for doing that! Thankfully I don’t suffer too bad from my CF but it’s still a bit risky so I’d rather be safe than sorry. Glad you’re home and have some good company by the sounds of it. Definitely I look forward to seeing your future vids, all the best x

You and I have a very similar situation...I found out today that one of my nipples will probably not make it so I will ask my plastic surgeon about nitrogel. YOU DONT NEED TO LOSE YOUR HAIR. I facilitated Penquin Cold Caps for 10 years for women for going thru chemo. They kept their hair! It thinned 30 - 40 percent at most but you couldn't tell. It was something they had control of and changed the emotional impact of losing your hair! Something else to google! Good Luck!!!

Hi Andrea, I hope you're doing well. I've had 2 lumpectomies, as the tumor was attached to skin, so they had to be sure the margins were clear on both the skin and tissue. I'm scheduled for a bilateral nipple sparing mastectomy with immediate reconstruction with tissue expanders, later this month. Your video was very helpful. Will you please share the link to the site with the Oncotype prediction? Thank you and take care, Caroline

Hi, I'm 3 weeks out from a nipple sparing double mastectomy and have had a set back with an infection in one boob that put me in the hospital for 4 days with IV antibiotics. I'm home now on with oral antibiotics and the infection is just about cleared. However, now the skin on my nipple has sloathed off and I have what looks like a small opening at the edge of the areola. I see my surgeon tomorrow and want to mention the nitrgel. Can you tell me if I am spelling this correctly and where I can get more information about it?

@@AndreaRodgers Hi, no, the tissue surrounding the expander became infected. Im truly thinking that i should have gone flat did more and chose a reconstruction method further down the road.

I'm so sorry! I don't know.....you may not have wanted to go through surgery again. After my double mastectomy and reconstruction I I did not feel like doing the liposuction and fat grafting procedures.

What did you mix nitrogel with? I have watched this video so many times but still can’t quite understand... can anybody help me?
@AndreaRodgers
@AndreaRodgers 3 жыл бұрын
@@cybeleslehner6068 I mixed it with Aquaphor. My doctor gave me the prescription. It lowered my blood pressure as it opens up the capillaries to allow for much better blood flow to the nipple and the super thin skin left after breast cancer surgery. SO DO NOT USE ALOT of the Nitrogel and listen to your doctor carefully.

@@jedijade7383please research more! I don't know her outcome but I do know chemo is not effective 97% of the time. Why do they push it? Money... There are documentaries like 'Girsons Mirical' and 'Running from the Cure' by Rick Simpson.
