I'm a huge fan of "Steely Dan" But I've never really learned how to add that touch of jazz to my playing. It's cool that you got to jam with one of the Keyboard players. I had to subscribe when you starter talking about Walter's playing. A lot of people forget to mention him but they usually remember Elliot Randell and Larry Carlton.

I started playing at age 10 .I'm now 61.If I worked at it like you John I might be good ... I just mucked around playing only what I knew, never expanding any knowledge.. Last year I decided to practice new stuff learning the fretboard,improving my imprecise technique and getting tips on playing from your videos.I admire you playing style and how clean and bright you make the instrument sing..
