"Despite all my efforts, my telekinetic abilities are still quite lackluster." Good one. Stanley's surname is Yelnats, by the way.

These are actually great. Except the second one. Don' exactly agree with it at all. It probably depends on how you define "predictable," however I think stories are less predictable through inference, the audience watches events unfold with curiosity and interest, and they aren't _quite_ sure what's going to happen next. The best stories will have a lot of open ended possibilities, and the audience will be surprised by the things they learn along the way. In that sense good stories are not good stories because they can't be predicted but because they can't be predicted with absolute certainty.

I have read way to many predictable stories one writer i could give you a general description and it would fit any of her books and she is a professionally published author i like a story you can predict some of but not everything
