3-year ITE Higher Nitec courses see strong interest

A revamped ITE programme is seeing strong interest, after two certification tracks were streamlined to offer better job prospects. ITE said it is a top choice for more N-Level graduates than that for older but similar programmes in the past two years.

@@frostyphish7149 the course might be more rigorous than some foreign degree. Time to lvl the playing field. No such thing as nitec n diploma in other countries.

@@no...4687 i agree with you to an extent, but if everyone had a degree, then every degree holder in the future would be worse off (including the beneficiaries of the ITE >> Degree holders). Leveling the playing field will only push people to go for masters and professional qualifications as the bare minimum as degrees become more accessible

@@frostyphish7149 For other Asian countries, I only trust foreign degree holders from Japan and Hk. You must understand one thing: foreign and local degrees are totally different, in sg, typically 1/5 of the secondary school cohort enter NTU, NUS and SMU, whereas in most other Asian countries, anyone with average IQ could enter a government uni easily, let say you take PRC and cecaa for example, they have like hundreds of thousands of government-universities, so the admission rate for their secondary school students for each cohort would be like 70% and above.

ITE also very picky when it comes with courses can't go to the course people wanted only show people get the course as their 1st choice but not all are the same got 1st choice

Yeah now put 3 year higher nitec courses before that we all suffer 2 year course nitec only don't have benefit straight to 3 year higher nitec
