I wanted to get back in every 3-4days upload schedule, but this video took me a looong time to edit😅. I know not everyone likes naval, but it's been a while since we had any action in the water. Sill I hope you guys enjoyed it😉 French navy is another tho of my bucket list. Now I'm only waiting for latest battleships like Yamato, naval gamemodes (BIG)improvements, ground EC or real combined battles gamemode with air/ground/sea all fighting for objective. Fun fact on the Émile Bertin French Cruiser, it was in 1933 the fastest cruiser of the world, and also the ship has been named in the memory of Louis Émile Bertin, one of the most brilliant naval engineer of his time and also the man who modernized the Japanese fleet during Meiji Era, funny occasion to remind that France participates at the modernization/creation of the Imperial Japan Navy (and also that Japan and France had really good relations at the end of the 19th century, France composed Battotai for the Japanese army and Japanese officials sometimes wore French style bicorne).

Le Malin is the best DD in the line, very fun to play. As for the BR gap between Primauguet and Duguay-Trouin, It's because Primauguet gets more torpedoes (4 x 3 launchers with reloads) and has a scout plane even though it has worse AA

French Navy should be comparable to UK with the exception of lighter AA on the majority of vessels (UK invested in AA over secondary guns during and upto WW2) as the two Navy's did friendly competition throughout the early 20th Century. French Navy was so competent that the Allies declared that all potential enemy controlled vessels were to be sunk ASAP. So unless Gaijin have did a dirty (Quite likely)... France should at least play similar to Britain... Jack of all trades, master of none.

Well UK was here since the beginning of naval. Much more development time, while France is new. So don't expect them to be on par with UK. They'll fill the tree over time Honestly I'm happy with what we got, and I have a lot to look forward in the future

DD's have a purpose, aircraft can recon and depth bomb, more mine gameplay... atm the naval side consists too much of point and click or just botting.

Very nice video as usual. After dozens of matches with different nations and BRs I can confirm that using HE or HE-VT makes the shore bombardment on the new map more effective, mainly with HE-VT you can get the coastal artillery from 1-2 salvos and 2-3 salvos per coastal artillery with HE. I really hope these videos can make more people decide to try some naval matches so that the number of bots decrease.

I just saw this video and to answer to your question, the Duguay-Trouin was a ship class but also the first this of this last one. So, the premium ship is the ship itself and the Primauguet (the second Duguay-Trouin of the tree) the last ship of this class. They were similar, with just different planes and torpedo launchers differently organized.

For anyone: you can tell your non-main caliber guns what to do with (x+#), which makes hitting close, little boats easier. Also, AAA works better when its not set to also look for boats, BUT WONT shoot one if theyre set to only find planes. This works vice versa also. Press E for efficiency. Lastly, your crew will tell you in long advance when death approaches...

After 48 battles I am researching Colbert. (Have the Bertin) Just got the 100 kills using France (all naval) You can kill the shore battery in Franz Joseph land although you can't lock onto them. Good luck

I can't buy crew but I can upgrade the qualification. (You do not train crew in War Thunder you train slots. You qualify crew for the slot) I know you like naval we should squad sometime. Gaijin stated that the Citadel now holds most if not all the crew so a blow into the citadel will shred crew, however they also stated that interior armored modules affect the ship way more than before so yeah, I should add that it only counts for Battleships

I've loved grinding the French navy. The guns hit really hard using the sapi rounds. At closer ranges it onenshots most peers at the waterline below the turrets. Most the ships sobfar have taken about 4 battles to unlock. I like them

People forget it due to the French WW2 bashing but, in 1940, we had the 2nd navy of Europe behind the UK (so the 4th in the world) with pretty powerful and unique ships ! I can't wait to see submarines in-game because of the French cruiser-submarine Surcouf with its 2 canons of 203mm !!
