Guess it depends on your line of work. The real estate world can't be so big that Adam doesn't know who the players are and who they've sold to. Adam was successful enough at real estate that he was either selling to entertainers with gangster/drug connections or knows those who do/did. I'm sure it's pretty similar from Juno beach to Boca along the intracoastal/ocean front.

I was once invited to a "lock down" party of a very very famous person's party after the club in the Hamptons when I was a young girl; I did not go.
