I was born in '49 and I remember these places. Toronto was so much easier to get around in, and parking was not near the issue that it is today. People were much more approachable and it was a happier city. However one thing that has improved over the years is the cuisine.

So much life on Yonge St before they moved it all into the Eaton Centre in '77. Plus, it's always interesting to see people before drug and slob culture really set in during the 1970s.
