Why there are dislikes ...those people are simply jealous....this is so satisfying and creative.
@RebeccaKatsuya5 жыл бұрын
I think that is a pretty unfair assumption to make. There are many other reasons why someone might dislike the video. Firstly, the music is annoying & grating. Imo it would have been so much better if they could have had brief parts of interviews with the individuals over their work instead of the music. I'm quite sure they could have done this for at least some of the video considering that most of the video snippets were taken from other videos about the individual artists. Letting the artists speak for themselves in their moments on screen would have made for far better content imo, & then adding less awful music whenever they didn't have the artists soundclips. They also titled the video "30 artists taking pottery to the next level" while having several of the artists being potters who throw very large pots. Now that absolutely takes a lot of skill, but it isn't new. Potters have been throwing incredibly large pots for a long time, many much larger than these, so claiming it as something new, or that it is "taking it to the next level", simply isn't true. They could have used this opportunity to add some information about the incredible skill of potters over the years, instead they implied inaccurate information. Those are the things that stood out to me, & there could be more besides. For example, many of the comments are about various phobias of theirs that were triggered, & how they wished there had been information about those elements of the video or trigger warnings in the description. This seems pretty fair to me, & maybe they left a dislike because of that. Imagine if you are putting on content to cope with anxiety, potters throwing pots is usually calming, & then it triggers a phobia. I could understand disliking the video after that. People may appreciate potters & still dislike this video. I didn't give the video a dislike personally, as it isn't awful & there is still merit to the video. However it certainly could be better & more enjoyable, so I would understand those who do leave a dislike, & I wouldn't assume any bad intent on their part. Maybe they just wanted to send the message that the video itself could have been better.

they really like that clip of a globe getting doused in pink glaze (showing it 3 times) but no potter would glaze their pot like that, it would come out lumpy and the design would crack like an egg

for everyone saying that this is triggering their “trypophobia”, trypophobia isnt real. search it up on youtube and a lot of videos will tell you the real reason we fear clusters of holes. also, phobias are fears as in run away from the thing as fast as you can in a sweat, not discomfort when you see it.
@isaacevilman75864 жыл бұрын
Phobia literally means “fear or aversion.” Guess which part of the definition trypophobia falls under. Also, yes, I’m sure 16% of people are lying about feeling the need to scratch off their skin whenever they see certain patterns.
@kittenmimi53264 жыл бұрын
@@isaacevilman7586 mostly humans don't have an extreme irrational fear of holes, but they sense discomfort when seeing that mostly because it's a natural instanct humans are programmed with. So it's normal, to have some degree of aversion or disgust to thise weird looking holes and the majority of it is probably not even stemming from a phobia
@isaacevilman75864 жыл бұрын
Kitten Mimi Cool, does that discomfort make you want to scratch your skin off and become the only thing you see when you close your eyes for the next few days until the memory fades enough that the image is no longer clear enough to show up?
@coolcat61483 жыл бұрын
@@isaacevilman7586 100% agree. “trypophobia” seems to be a trend that blew up because pewdiepie reviewed it, and now so many people think they have a phobia. Phobias, or any disorder, have to interfere with daily life in order to be considered a disorder/phobia by therapists. I have terrible nyctophobia and it causes breakdowns i would normally never experience under other circumstances.

These are beautiful works and accomplished artists but I wouldn’t say most of them are “taking it to the next level”- several are using fairly common techniques, if very well. There are many more accomplished artists, these are mostly singled out for being good instagram videos.
