But it is easy as hell to open FCS and resize weapons and backpacks to fit a race who might be smaller, and then create new blueprint which enables the new items you've created and at it to every adventure shop vendorlist, takes fuck all, i've got no idea how to add animations to a new race though otherwise i'd make my own mod which add the project kathun lightsaber and force animations to katanas in kenshi and throw katanas at people and flip around like a unit

@@padendev sadly, it didn't impact performance at all, it was 2-3 minor mods like loading screen one. Couple years ago kenshi worked better for me, now that I have a good gpu and better setup, it's down right horrendous, it did not age well at all! I had to lower everything to 0 but the main impact was view distance, I lowered that to 1500 while npc range and building range to 1300, only then did I not have few minute freezes and/or crashes after moving loke ten feet.
@padendev6 ай бұрын
Yeah view distance was a big one. And one thing that bothered me in general was groups of npc's seemed to just pop into existence and broke the immersion for me. I cant count the number of times I got mobbed because I decided to fast forward and a mob was just outside my view range behind my camera lol. Anyways I hope you figure out something for performance. Lots of broken questlines and some baffling balancing choices. This comes in pair with seemingly no interest from the maker to fix the issues any time soon and his huge ego and terrible attitude towards any criticism or feedback makes me think Genesis is a very long way from being what it could be, and the current version is just worse than previous ones. It's a bummer because I used to recommend it to people years ago

I am in agreement with you. For the video I had to do some heavy file editing to get things to function with genesis. Well you are not required to put the slider on max. I think my eyes would fall out if I did that too. When I make mods I tend to allow an over adjustment for the people who want it and will bother me until I do lol. Most of the time modders either don't have a choice due to engine limitations or they don't have the skills to further mess with it. I mentioned this mod in particular for the people who can't understand how to work with Re-Shade and want a easy but limited solution.

Why does your game look cell shaded?
@padendev3 ай бұрын
That is shown at 3:01 with the "Native Stylize" mod. There is a tick option called "outlines" that mimics cell shading. I normally don't use it but for the purposes of the video and the short series, I still showcased it. Outside of that I was using my own parameters with ReShade.

I´ve never understood the use of darker UI. to me is way uglier than the original UI, which reminds me so much to fallout 1 UI. I´d understand more if the plane, boring dark one was the one modded to give it a more post apocaliptic vibe

That's completely fine. I know for some its personal preference. For me I use it as a tool to help me with readability. I suffered a traumatic brain injury in the military and now there are certain shades of colors that I find it extremely hard to focus on or read. For me those colors tend to be yellows and sandy browns. I still question to this day if it had anything to do with being in the desert for 2 years when that did happen but who knows. I am just grateful someone made a tool that helped me enjoy the game.

The clear one looks clean af

There is a mod for dark UI that makes it more "apocalyptic" -- it looks like rusted darkened iron. To me, Kenshi's UI is too bright but I do agree that the dark UI looks too clean/modern -- so this mod ended up being perfect.

For Kenshi lovers: IF you have Kenshi with mods running smoothly DO NOT INSTALL Genesis 1.5!! unless you have all the time in the world to melt your brain. this is the only game I play/played...until recently = Genesis 1.5 fooked my life. and with No info or help (without regs & discord & other crap I don't want to add to) I'm too far in to give up now, so IF you could help... *a rundown: I play the hardest way possible (max nests and enemies+ (like fighting super heroes) but I'm only skellies) -- (sorry, I don't even know how to phrase this) AFTER Genesis 1.5 ...mod list? I replied on @AmirianoAvenicci in the comments, it that helps. Any help would be greatly appreciated (I doubt Kenshi2 will be out before 2025 26 27...)
