Just for anyone actually thinking about buying one of these 2 bats, in my opinion, and the opinion of a good portion of my college team that I used to play for, the $30 Louisville slugger is one of the best feeling wood bats I've ever used. With that being said, the thing breaks so freaking easily. I had a $130 Louisville slugger that I still have, but I went through 7 of those $30 bats in like 5 months. And it's not like I was getting jammed or hitting them off the end either. I think 3 of them I hit straight off the barrel real solid and the barrel litteraly split in half.

its because marucci says it actually sells you pro stock wood but they dont and you have to go on the marucci website and pay a lot more for pro stock wood. all they are really selling you is just the same type of wood and the same coloration/model.

The "power" of the bat may not be related to the price but to the fact you're using two different types of wood. The Louisville Slugger is made out of ASH and the Marucci is made out of MAPLE, which is a harder less flexible kind of wood(due to its closer grains); therefore providing more "pop"

I would like to have seen the wood types to be the same. The bat didn't have more pop because it was expensive, it had more pop because it was maple while the other was ash. So again, I had the same curiosity about price of bats and the actual difference but that gets lots when the bats are different types.

If you are going to compare a "Cheap" bat to an "expensive" bat. They should both be the same model and the same type of wood. To make a comparison to a Louisville Slugger Genuine Ash(271 model) and compare it to a Maple AP5 is basically comparing apples to orange and cats to dogs. Literally the only comparison is that they are both made of wood and they are used to hit a ball.

The irony that I buy the cheaper model at £30 (roughly $41) for my Negan halloween set up and it turns out I get great value for money in the long run 😂 to be fair though in comparrison to the bats I have had to use during my time in school for any batting sports we did play in class, it does dwarf any bat I used just in how it feels, weighs and in quality just holding it, I got to test it now

Good video but guys if you’re gonna drop dough on a bat, online is the way to go. Companies send lower quality lumber to stores (even when 130 or so) due to selling retail in mass. When online, you get great quality lumber. A way to get a good bat is counting grains and how straight they are. I got a chandler online (amazing company) with 11 grains, as compared to store bats when a marucci had 14 lowest. Buy wood online guys, you won’t regret it

Was a great video and I liked the video but the difference between an x3 ash compared to the AP5 model which is Maple is a hard comparison seeing as how ash bends and flexes compared to Maple which is an extremely dense wood that gets stronger the more you use it I would’ve gone the route of an x3 ash compared to MLB Prime ash from slugger as well as marruci pro cut maple compared to there Ink dot maple which is a far better quality maple but again nothing against the video was a great video just not the greatest comparison when it comes to wood between different types of wood
