Thanks! I once tried selling canvases on etsy. I made about 80 of them. No-one had ever told me that it´s ME who has to pay... so I had to pay 20 dollars to remove the fxxking store all together as nobody was buying. @@tomi71 I've been selling on etsy since 2018, but Ive never closed a shop so i was confused by your wording. But yes if you set your listings renewal settings to "automatic" instead of "manual" they will automatically renew every 4 months at 20c per listing. Etsy is actually pretty upfront about all of this. Your best bet would have been to renew them then set them to manual, then close the account after they all expire. Not to be rude but, yes the channels you mention are clickbaity, however this can't be solely blamed on them because with any business it's important to do in depth research on your own. And reading the terms of service of the marketplace your selling on is pretty important. Even if you plan on doing this method, it's important to do in depth market research to make sure you're selling photos people are actually searching for and trying to buy.

Cool that you did it, I only uploaded 11 pictures and they were in moderation for over a damn month. And after another 2 months I finally got 1 picture bought and made 1 miserable dollar in 3 months, which I can't even withdraw because you need at least $25 for the minimum withdrawal amount. Especially Midjourney became completely paid and I can no longer generate new pictures. I have been generating pictures with space theme, maybe that's the reason for my low profit. So from my experience I will say that it is not profitable.

I tried making photo's with AI images in January and have averaged around $1 a month with 62 images.If you are making $32 a month with 43 images YOU ARE AN OUTLINER. Having got such pitiful returns I decided to research on how much the average joe was making and The average ROI on stock photography is $0.02 per image per month, and not every image is going to sell. most won't. Typically around 20% of your images will pull in 80% of the total revenue you make. I wish I never tried AI stock photography. It has been a huge waste of time and when you add in the $60 a month you need to pay for midjourney and private messaging (so people can't steal your images), AI stock photography for the average person is in no way worth it... and certainty not a get rich quick scheme. To anybody reading this considering AI art, I would advise you to really sit down and take into account that most likely you will not be one of these "outliner" guys making 100s times more than the typical person makes. average returns is 0.02 per image per month (which factors in most images you produce won't get downloaded) personally speaking these kinds of returns arn't worth my time and im currently trying something else instead... where the AVERAGE returns are far greater. Sometimes you just gotta be realistic and pay attention to what the average person is making, and not the outliners...... because the odds of you being an outliner are slim..

@@Gaze73 I'll tell you right now that you are extremely unlikely to be able to start a venture and make $200 a month for 1 hour work a day straight away. Maybe if you started some sort of online venture and slaved away for like a year and grew it really successfully something like that would be possible ...but realistically something like that right away is extremely unrealistic. There's a lot of youtubers out there with thumbnails claiming stuff like "make $324 an hour by sending emails" or make $504 an hour copy and pasting" and it's just not true at all. You'll make a fraction of that. who in their right mind is going to pay someone $500 an hour to copy and paste?? That is what you need to really ask yourself. I've tried a few schemes over the years, which have all failed.. but one thing i've noticed. after every failure i became that little bit wiser. Through trying it out and failing was able to see the fundamental flaws in the idea and why the chances of making a lot of money were slim. I would advise you to stop trying the "get rich QUICK" stuff. If it looks TOO GOOD to be true and promises humongous returns for very little effort then it's probably not gonna work out like that in reality. Getting "rich" typically takes a lot of effort and a long time. Also try and do some research into how much the AVERAGE person who tries this is making. That is the best tip. Had I realised this sooner I would have saved myself a lot of failures over the years as I was chasing OUTLINER returns.. The main flaw with AI photos is that there is already HUGE competition and millions of other stock photos out there, many of which will be similar to yours. When you create an image of something unless adobe stock places on the first few pages it's unlikely to get seen by enough people to rack up much downloads. If your image gets placed on page 1045 do you really think it's gonna get much views much downloads? get rich quick schemes attract a lot of people looking to make a quick buck, aka a lot of competition. in life the easier it is to do something the more competition there is due to there being more people out there being able to do it. think how much job applications an unskilled job like a "shelf stacker" gets.. compared to a job like "biomedical scientist". How adobe stock decides initially decides which images to place on page 1 and which on page 5000 is a bit of a mystery. I suspect that if an image style is quite unique and also looks impressive they are more likely to put it where it will get more views. also i have noticed that one of my images did get downloaded when it was really far back.., they then changed the page it appeared on, it then got downloaded again.. and its now on page 1. it seems like adobe will shift your image up if it gets downloads, but that also means other peoples images can get shifted in front of yours

@@Gaze73 back several years ago i tried making a shopify store dropshipping various products. i started off running facebook ads (impressions) and didn't get any clicks, then i moved to google ads and did get clicks but no sales. at this point as well as the money for the shop i had spent £35 in advertising and not made a single sale. the products i had had an average price of like £8 to £10 ... i was clearly loosing money so decided to stop. what i learned for this is that the main problem with selling ads is ads cost MONEY and if you don't get enough conversions from your ads then you will just start hemorrhaging cash and be unprofitable. In order for your idea to succeed you should find a top notch product (much easier said that done) and create a top notch ad and landing page (easier said than done) , and also do some research into average number of clicks it takes to make a sale, and how much the ad is costing you ..and actually sit down and calculate if it is viable you will make enough money from people clicking and buying your product via the adds to offset the amount you are spending on ads. The reason you are having to PAY for ads is because you don't have a following. how do youtubers with huge amounts of subscribers get rich or instagram girls get rich? they have a HUGE following.. so don't need to pay for ads. they can just have companies pay THEM to put ads on their page due to the amount of people who will see it. A better strategy than PAYING for facebook ads (and also cheaper) would be to try and amass a following.. either through social media or make your own website and attract visitors, and sell to those people. again though, this is easier said than done..., and will take time. but once you get a large following it is pretty easy to make money as you can exploit your following in the ways ive mentioned. without a large following it will be much more challenging to make profit as you are paying for ads... realistically, i think your idea of selling AI stuff will likely fail due to the fact the money you spend on ads will surpass the number of sales you make resulting in a net loss. if you can find a way to drive a lot of traffic to your shop extremely cheaply or for free then you're probably onto a winner... have you ever received one of those nigeran prince emails? or emails where some guy claims he has won a lot of money or something but he cant get it yet and he needs to use your bank account and he will offer you a large reward. there are many variations of this scam going around. 99%+ of people do not fall for this scam ....but there is always that 0.2% of people who will fall for it. The scammer sends this email out to thousands of thousands of people at once.. so finds enough victims to make it worth while and the whole endeavour is profitable for the scammers because they are utilising are LARGE audience by sending mass emails. Imagine the scammer had to use facebook ads to attract people. he'd go broke 100 times over. His great great grandkids would still be paying off his debts. I highly suggest for you to try and build a large audience rather than paying for facebook/google ads.

All the new laws are more about who should take responsibility for harmful art, who to tax and how to censor AI so its "ethical". As for part about selling such art it's usually clearly stated in docs of the model you use but it's not regulated by law anyway. There are few companies that actually have ads on KZbin that use SD generated people so clearly no one cares where and how pictures were made.

$43 in a MONTH? How much work did you have to do and how many images did you upload in order to make that small amount? Why play small and stick with penny stock sites that pay shit for your images? I use a stock agency that pays a minimum of $15 for the smallest image up to $150 per image for the largest size. In order to earn $43 you need to upload numerous images in order to make that kind of money. It's all about working smarter and not harder. Adobe Stock is horrible and not recommended.

Why don't you precise that the adobe moderation team take more than 2 months to review your submitted images if it's done by AI and until then you can't sell anything ? not a single one of the youtubers precise it, and that's what makes it not reliable as a serious source of income

Yeah I too have earned some cash in stock sites with ai images. You don’t need multiple accounts though, just use the same one. I think the method to making good money is to just have a TON of listings. AI images also take like a month to get accepted. It will def take time, so it isn’t some get rich quick crap, but it’s free to list so a good way to make passive income, especially if you find a niche that makes good money.

You got pretty good results for the time you spent on it ! I'm selling digital stuff on etsy... and because of AI, the competition is rude... it became so easy, everyone is trying lately. Actually I don't know if it can work, but have you heard about Revolut? It's a European online bank. You can receive money in so many different currencies all over the world and also withdraw in a lot of countries... and it's based in London, so technically, your account will be in UK... well I just thought about it, but on the paper, I don't really know how it works 😅 maybe you should take a look 😉

SO LESS, SO LESS....but now after some month i should be above 10 USD for all the Downloads together, its not worth it for now to use Midjourney for that i think, the cost ect is to high. And yeah the Pictures that i made with AI are perfect. So if you want to know what they purchased from me: Dragon Fighting against crusader knight or something like that...and T-Rex Dinosaur with Firework Background or so... and some others too.. only a few downloads so...*
