I had a Volkswagen Passat on Turo, and it did very well on the platform. It was always booked. A lot of families would book it or people looking for a spacious vehicle to drive.

Turo is a good platform although the business model is not great unless you automate stuff. Make sure you are not attached to the car you are renting else won't be able to sleep at night 😂

I would recommend as I’ve been doing a lot of research on Turo as well. Looking to start at least one car to add to my properties as I do midterm/short term rentals that you can definitely convenience yourself far more than having to have woken up at 6 AM to ready the car for your 8 AM booking by blocking off the car on your calendar and making sure that you would have had it cleaned, and ready for your next booking without being inconvenienced

I believe so, i rent from turo, and there are some renters who lock out some pickup and drop-off times. You can also set a min number of days for renting. I'm in nyc, so ive noticed a lot of renters changed their vehicles to two day minimums

What happens when the renter crashes your car and hurts someone? Renting your care definately voids your insurance.

When you rent your car on Turo, Turo provides an insurance policy. If something happens to your car it wouldn't go through your personal insurance. Your personal insurance is only for you when you are driving the vehicle when the vehicle isn't being rented out.

Hey! Thank you as always! The smoke in the car was definitely annoying. Thankfully, I bought a bunch of stuff on Amazon to review and use to try to remove the smoke smell. A combination of using a steamer and this air freshener bomb removed the smoke smell completely. Like everything turo is about learning as you go and you just figure it out. But yes, it was very unpleasant. I appreciate your kind words. I think selling on Amazon could be very lucrative for you! I don’t know if that’s the route I want to go just yet but will see. I have some ideas I hope to share soon! Amazon influencer hasn’t been good lately….

One car is a personal car that I just don't use because I work from home. The other car was a car I had paid off and saved specifically for Turo. You can look for a cash car to buy or start by putting your personal car on when you aren't using it.

Stay away from Turo. Gave me a ban. Guest said I had low tread on my tires. I literally had a tire shop say I had the min 4/32. They didn't care. Since I argued the unlisted all my cars and cancelled all my reservations. I had 5 cars. Not fun

You're the host you said it the way you want. Essentially the more convenient you make it the higher the price. Conversely the more inconvenient you make it the lower the price should be. For example you want $300 a day for luxury midsize that you will bring to the customer what's a tank full of gas plus you're allowed them to smoke and you give them candies and mints or unlimited miles and drop off anywhere within 30 me of the pickup Option two would be the same vehicle whatever gas is in must be at the same point when it comes back no free mi no frills vehicle is $150 a day pick up and drop off is the exact same must be returned clean.
