You can try saving yourself time and labor by pushing all the snow to the side of the driveway with your push shovel and run it after with your toro to finish the job. Thats what I do sometimes especially when they're wet. This will shave few minutes of your time you spend each driveway. And when you add all those saved minutes at the end, you could save yourself an hour even more... Hope that makes sense.

@@lawnmowingmoney5015 yeah it’s a lot of driveways lol. Well we are still talking about price. What would you say for a season rate from Jan 1st to April 1st at 2 inch trigger? Thinking of a good price

Ever since I got a back pack blower I have cut my run of 25 houses down by almost 2 hours. Of course that is when the snow is easy blowing.

What do you charge typically per drive way and door way and is it best to charge a monthly flat rate or just charge per snow day visit ? I'm encouraged by your videos and am starting my first winter season doing snow removal

How much you charge for a season? Good videos
@lawnmowingmoney50153 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I charge on average $800 per driveway for the season, however this winter I've raised my average price to $900 for all new clients.

In Indiana we shovel that kind of snowfall. Blowers and plows are for 5" and above. Its not efficient.

Still faster with a single stage and less tiring. Can't imagine doing 30 driveways by hand unless it's very light 2 inches of snow

I've only used Toro so I'm not sure. I believe my toro is around 212cc.

do you buy paddles from toro? i used to cut my own then found a place to cut 10 millimeter double stitched rubber. they use a water jet. last time a bought 20 paddles i paid $22.50 per paddle. Much cheaper than buying from toro. We have 3 powerclears and will go through several sets in a winter. For the toro price of 8 paddles i get 20. Gotta keep costs down.
@lawnmowingmoney50152 жыл бұрын
That's awesome, I buy the toro paddles for around $100 per paddle 👎

I do the exact same thing as you with 30 properties on my own except in Alberta. Past two years insurance rates has been getting ridiculous and I've never damaged a property. I'm paying $3900/year for snow removal and lawn, obviously snow removal is 90% of that insurance amount. Are you paying similar to that over there in Ontario? Thanks for any info.

I love the hustle man! I’m considering trying this out for myself! How much do you charge for each driveway?
@lawnmowingmoney50153 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks chief! I charge a flat seasonal rate of an average of $800/driveway (I raised this up to $900 this season) And I'm in Southern Ontario Canada so we have similar winters to Michigan. It can be a tough business when it snows, but when it doesn't its awesome haha. Thanks for the comment 👍

@@lawnmowingmoney5015 that’s great! If I were to start now, I would just charge by the snowfall and plow their driveway every snowfall. What would you recommend I charge per snowfall? $25 per? $30?
@lawnmowingmoney50153 жыл бұрын
I would probably start with a minimum of $20 or $25 but keep in mind the more snow, the longer its going to take, so I would consider charging more as it gets deeper. Something like $25 for less than 3 inches, $35 for 3"-6", $45 for 6"-9", $60 for 9-12" ect. Something like that. Let me know how it goes brotha!

Let’s chat a bit and maybe do a skype interview to compare our services/ equipment and get tips from each other. Get ahold of me through my Facebook - Green Cuts, Guelph Ontario
