I love the way this man explains things, and his sense of humour is great I'm a 56 year old married man with two grown up sons and I'm just coming to terms with adult ADHD, after all these years I'm finally getting some help I've been sober in AA for 24 years, it's a strange experience, but I'm relieved 😌 ADHD is a recognised condition now, in the past I was just told I was mad and over excited. Thank you so much RB God bless you all 😘👍

Oh my god the way to deal with others is amazing. I always struggle with the need to correct misunderstandings, but speaking like that to myself will be so helpful. What a way to validate oneself while not engaging in draining behaviours

Love this! I love at about halfway where he goes into useful info for parents. It is SO hard to be the parent, not only are you dealing with their behaviors, but your own shortcomings because you have it too. And the schools are wondering why you can't do it better, and finally, you are wondering why you can't do better!

I love all of these videos, but I can't overstate how much I appreciate what you've giving to parents who have listened to this. I grew up with ADHD and didn't know it until age 30. I wish my parents had this information when I was growing up to understand me better. Every day since diagnosis I remember problems in my childhood. These videos have helped me better cope with the misunderstandings my parents went through. It's even harder, because I'm almost 99% positive my mother has ADHD and had to figure out how to cope with this in the dark. It's a lot to grapple with, but it easier the more people I hear creating a language to understand neurodivergency or any mental illness. Great stuff!

I'll never allow myself to commit the same mistakes my parents did. I'll never repeat the resentment and regret they have for having me. The anger and rage and abuse. I'll be better. We should be better.

What I have to say because ADHD people live the moment they see things in the moment that other over looked.I look at things forward backward side to side.Thank you for saying we are unique as we also see normal or with other genetic problem people as unique.I raise 2 kids with ADHD.if you make shores a game and if done before the timer is up the winner get personal time from the parents .If you need ideas .

He nailed it! Ppl who live this/ have AD(H)D + ADHD kids know exactly what he is talking about - in detail! Everyone who is trying to argue his "negativity", pulls the "I'm a do better than my parents" and all - wait and see - w/out an ADHD kid you don't know, you just don't. Biggest problem in Western industrialized countries is so many kids & teens grow up w/out clear guide lines, spoiled; late for school - no matter, forgot homework - no big deal and then they act out. ADHD kids have heard limits all the time - they just can't keep them!!

I suppose you missed all the videos where he talked about how the environment is the most important, and also forgot that parents are also a part of the environment of the children, and also forgot that parents as sheppards are responsible for the environments. Meaning you just forgot the lecture in its entirety.
