That was only the pilot episode though, which is understandable. After that they got a big outdoor set to represent Stars Hollow at Warner Brothers in California. This set, the town layout, you can sometimes recognise in other movies and shows. Like Norbit (that terrible Eddy Murphy movie).

Fun fact, I got the entire series on DVD in 2008 here in Belgium... and when Jesse just arrived and stood on the beach the song "here comes the sun" by the Beatles is played. But now I also have it available on Netflix and on there the song "catch a wave" by the Beach Boys plays. This happens often that we get different music, I guess this has to do with the rights to the music in different regions. It makes sense now that they planned a Jesse spin-off, because I thought it was weird that Jesse got such a big arc in S3E21 & S3E22, when the importance should naturally be on the GIlmore Girls and their life changing events toward the end of the season (Lorelai buying the Dragonfly and Rory graduating highschool). And then we see nothing of Jesse until many time later when he comes back to Stars Hollow.

Another fun fact... Here in The Netherlands, where Gilmore Girls has been on TV daily, it's broadcast in English with Dutch subtitles, as is the case with English language media here. The interesting thing about it is that the dialog between, say, Rory and her mom, which has fast-paced-patter and American pop-culture references, is almost impossible to subtitle at the appropriate pace and to provide 1:1 context (which would be lost on the local Dutch viewer, mostly). So the subtitles are sort of a summary of the scene's dialog, completely missing the charm and wit exposed in the rat-a-tat English audio. (Some might say this is a good thing)

If you watched their interview at the ATX festival/the Today Show/any other interview then you know all of these because they mention almost every single one in the ATX panel alone as well as many more spoilers. While it's true Alexis didn't start acting until 6 months before the show was written, Alexis (who was 19 not 15) was actually cast BEFORE Lauren was because she's the only one ASP ever wanted for Loralei and they had to wait to get her because she was on another show, Chris Pine auditioned to play YOUNG Chris in the throwback episodes not as her adult father, ASP actually HAS seen the final season, and Borstein also played Celine and was real-life married to Jackson. It's also pronounced "again-uh" not "a-gene-uh".

What I don't get is...how did the show end in 2007 and people STILL haven't seen all of them yet.
