@@nesquickyt Yeah, I've never done a TAS using RTC because it corrupts in real time and it's never the same way. This would completely desynchronize the TAS.

For a second I thought #5 was the winged cage in the item box. I see it is #24 now but what exactly is #5? Or rather what I am asking is what is an example of a layer 2 sprite? Also do you think it is possible to complete a level (not star world 3) TAS or non TAS with the winged cage equipped?

Number 5 is the "Layer 2 Smash" sprite. This sprite is the sprite that makes Layer 2 hit the ground, like in Valley Fortress or Castle #6, which has those spikes that hit the ground. You can see it better on this website: smwspeedruns.com/Sprites (it's the E9 sprite). And about winged cage, it is possible to finish a level with it. I don't know if this was exactly your question, but I already did it in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y4nNfIamjteoidk (at 1:58, I create a winged cage and finish the level with it).
