It actually does have the capability to make a 180 degree crease. You have the brake backwards, if you turn it around and look underneath it works two ways, when you place the material on the bottom side and push the handles flat it takes your 90 degree bend to a full flat crease.

Is this comment accurate? Cause I definitly want to be able to make a safe flat crease

You have to keep it away from the pivot point to avoid spring back.

How did you receive that nasty bruise on your left thumb nail? That must have hurt.
