Whenever adults or teens do the kids makeup challenge they alway are like " oh this makeup is not gonna have any pigment and it's gonna be so chalky!" But then when they use it there like oh this is actually pretty good. People always underestimate kids makeup and usually the problem is they the brushes are so small cuz if they used regular brushes it would look way better so it's not the makeup that's the problem it's the makeup tools
@lleah28395 жыл бұрын
Potato kids makeup is bad. It’s made for kids as a toy not actual use.
@moritzgrades5 жыл бұрын
@@lleah2839 honestly kids makeup isn't bad. It's actually pretty good but your right people probably should not use it all the time and it's not necessarily real makeup. However hat does not mean it's bad. It has good pigment to it and not many makeup brands have that. So really it's not bad it's just it's kids makeup so people underestimate it.

I think its okay to give kids makeup, especially if they seem to have an interest. Giving them fun, rainbow colours to encourage it as just play would be cute. My mom wouldnt let me wear makeup as a kid even though I would smear blue everywhere. She would say I look like a hooker/clown even when I just had a clear balm on lol. Its given me a terrible complex about how my features look... so not going too hardcore encouraging or discouraging makeup is the best I’d say haha

@@elyurajada5528 if your parents let you wear makeup then you should totally start wearing makeup. If you dont want you friends to criticize you then maybe you could just do a "natural makeup look" that consists of a light clear gloss, mascara, concealer (if you want to) and a little bit of blush. My oldest sister always wears a pretty good amount of makeup and when she wants to wear makeup but make it look like she has nothing on she justs put on that. Hopefully you found this helpful of any sort 😀

I would take the adult one cause: 1)same price but the adult comes with 36 eyeshadows, 2) a contouring pallet 3) a highlighter pallet 4)comes with blush 5 and comes with different shades of lipstick The only con in the kids is it’s pigmented and has brushes and lip liners/ a complete set yet it’s still so damn expensive 😂

If I ever have kids or my friends have kids who like makeup, I'm just gonna buy them something like Wet N Wild. Kids makeup is such terrible quality and Wet N Wild is cheaper AND looks better! Plus, it's not gonna have that weird perfume fragrance kids makeup normally has. It just seems so much more overpriced... if they want fun coloring books with it, I can get them, and if there's a specific kids makeup they want because of the crafts with it I'd totally be okay with it, but I think overall going for real makeup is a much better choice!

My funniest childhood memory was when I was about 4 or 5. I noticed my parents sugar container was empty so I refilled it all by myself. We had company over the next day and my mom made coffee for everyone. She brought out the sugar jar and everyone proceeded to add sugar. Everyone was quiet and didn't touch their coffee after the first sip. My mother later realized I had added salt and not sugar into the container. We all had a good laugh, but those relatives we had over never asked for coffee at our house again...😂

I understand that point, but this video is about her comparing the makeup, not the application process. If she had included experience in the title, it would make more sense. Then she would be comparing adult makeup experiences (including tools) to children's makeup experiences. When comparing the makeup itself, she has to eliminate the number of variables in her experiment, otherwise it just invalidates the results. The children's makeup was basically set up for failure like this.

I don't think it's wrong to buy make up for a kid to play with. In my opinion it's no different than playing dress up and it's much better than them trying to draw on their face with markers. I view makeup as a form of self expression, so I wouldn't have a problem if my kid decided to wear yellow eyeshadow for a day. I'd actually be more concerned with whether or not they're responsible enough to take care of their skin than anything else. Just like anything else the makeup would come with rules.

Same!!! I don't see the big deal in letting kids play with makeup. I think it used to be that makeup was like a slutty thing and that you wore it to attract men. So obviously for a little girl that would be inappropriate. Now I think the argument is that girls grow up feeling bad about themselves so makeup just encourages these insecurities. Honestly tho, it's just plain fun. Sure you look like a clown but you get to be girly and do your makeup like Mommy ( or daddy because we accept all people)!
@TUBEalicious6 жыл бұрын
Camilla - You're still the parent. Just because they have makeup to play with does not mean that they would wear it all of the time, and when they play with it would be your decision, not the child's. My daughter is 7, she loves watching me do my makeup for work in the mornings or when I'm getting ready to go on stage (I do a lot of community theatre). I bought her some of her own makeup almost two years ago so she could play with it while I did my makeup with mine. She is super creative, she draws and paints ALL of the time, and this is just another outlet for her creativity and is yet another fun way to play - which is how children learn. By playing. I bought her a makeup bag to put her things in and she keeps it by mine. She always has access to it, but she knows she has to ask first and she knows she's too young for it be an every day thing. It's all about life, learning, and setting boundaries just like with anything else in life. Sometimes she gets to wear it for a little while and sometimes she doesn't. And she's perfectly okay with that.

I'd let my kids do whatever they want with drugstore make up as long as they won't leave the house with it. (so just for fun or practising) I think when they're like 13/14 I would allow everything except foundation (because come on you'd get even more pimples than you already have in puberty) and when they're 15/16 they can leave the house however they want (I'd still give them tips though) P.S I wore the Maybelline Mousse make up since I was 15 and my parents didin't even notice lol

I prefer the adult side (eyeshadow) because it’s less pigmented and it looks softer(?)

Ok, ok, so I’m 3 years late... but I’m 10 and my parents gave me makeup when I was around 3 and that helped me grow my interest in art and face makeup. A lot of parents refuse to give their children makeup for some reason in which I don’t know why. I’m not trying to tell anyone how to parent because clearly, I have a lot of learning to do in the world. But I don’t know why people take such a hatred to makeup? I think makeup should be introduced when the kid is ready. Maybe I got an interest earlier because I did ballet since I was 2 and because my mom did a lot of dancing as a hobby and liked to bring me there. Oml this comment is so long... to anyone who has read this far, have a cookie 🍪.

I was thinking the same thing! It's moments like that that make me understand why my dad screams at the TV during football games. I always used to think, "Why are you yelling? They can't hear you....." After watching youtube so long, I get it now lol. This is just my football.

I think if the little girl wants toy makeup then that's fine, but it shouldn't be pressured on them.
