30 Minute Virtual Bike Ride | Cape Disappointment-Discovery Trail-Washington Coast | Cycling Workout

Enjoy this moderate 30-minute virtual bike ride along the Washington Coast near Long Beach. We bike part of the Discovery Trail through Cape Disappointment State Park where we visit a lighthouse.
Bike route: We started this 12-mile bike from Long Beach RV campground located in Seaview, biking on a private grass trail before reaching the Discovery Trail. There are several public access options including at 30th Street, with ample parking at 38th Place. From Discovery Trail, we rode South to Beard’s Hollow Road, turning right on North Head Road, and turning right again to North Head Lighthouse Road. After viewing the lighthouse, we road down Bell's View Trail, accessible from the lighthouse parking lot. From there we took the bike trail part of the way and then followed N Head Road to Beard's Hollow Overlook. Then it was back on the Discovery Trail.
Enjoy the Washington coast and the gorgeous Pacific Northwest scenery as you complete your workout.

So far I think I might like this trail better then the Coeur d'alene simply because in the summer the weather on the coast of PNW is almost guaranteed to be in the 70s at its peak with some light wind. Idaho is gorgeous but that area can reach in the 90s. But I have not done either of these trails so I better be quiet and go ride both first = thanks for the inspiration.

Yes, that's why you can mute and use your own music or do a search for ambient sounds. Our "natural" sounds on the video are just wind noise, which can be rather irritating! Thanks for watching and commenting!

Downhill all the way doesn’t encourage you to cycle along for the purpose of exercise. Great scenery but do it uphill next time - without following someone who then blocks the view.
