Story 4: okay this is just my personal opinion on this story but I feel like she is the a-hole in the story because imagine you had a kid and you're invited to your friend's wedding and it's a nice party and everything maybe some stuff happened here or there and then you leave the next day and then a few weeks later so you see your friend in a different dress and a different venue and everything and then you call her and be like what the actual fudge is this and your friends like oh you just had two different parties at two different venues and this is actually the real wedding and you don't get to be invited cuz you have a kid and then you can't like call babysitter or anything cuz no one can watch ur kid like if you're a person who actually has a kid and then you can't go to this wedding because you have one and you can't find a babysitter it's kind of like you're being left out because it's like what in the world you just invited me to a fake wedding for me not to be at the real one because I have a child I think that's kind of wrong and also really stupid so yes you are the a hole

Well, incorrect, OP just had two receptions One for friends and extended family who had kids they wanted to bring And one private one for just you and your spouse and a couple close family members It’s not unheard of to have two wedding receptions and in many cultures there are various kinds of weddings The point I make is that OP made the effort to make sure her friends were included by throwing that party where kids were invited, OP could’ve just said “No I don’t want your kids at my wedding so if you bring them you will be kicked out” like no OP went above and beyond both at her own financial expense and allowed her friends to invite their kids And also mind you, bringing kids is a *choice* that every friend, family member, or other guest had OP could’ve had a best friend who just decided against bringing their kid altogether even though they could’ve because that’s of their jurisdiction Everyone who brought their kid(s) had a choice to do so and OP should not be considered an asshole for wanting something more private and intimate for her own wedding And not to mention, if you’re a friend and can’t afford/don’t have enough time to hire a babysitter then you need to be able to properly watch your kid Ensure that you don’t allow them to drink alcohol, throw up on anything or anyone and be ready to leave when needed to because by bringing your kid you accept all the responsibility that comes with *bringing them in the first place*
