I've just realized something since the reality tree spreading across the map it is now transforming all the POI's into old ones from that means by the end of the season if you are extremely lucky or should I say unlucky you get into a match where most of the POI's are Coral Castle so that mean of the Chapter 3 map being only coral might just happen

I think I know why this season is longer, I think the reason for this is that the devs have been going through some very very serious crunch and are completely burned out at this point. Epic pretty much had to back down or else the devs would probably just quit entirely.

What do you mean? The storyline has never left the Island, stuff still happens on the BR Island. Sure, some other stuff may happen elsewhere, like in a comic series or something, but most if not all the lore stuff tends to occur on the Island/ in game.

That happened less than a month after world cup, and world cup was a disaster with 50 man final zones with everyone tunneling. So I'd say Epic saw this and tried to fix it. Remember, turbo building wasn't always in the game. And back then, Epic wanted people to build forts. But people complained when it was nerfed (not removed), so Epic caved and brought it right back. 2 years later we got no build mode.
