They then enhanced their selfies using an editor, and _then_ they released it to the world. If you put in the same amount of effort and time into ur pics as they did, your selfies would come out just as great.

I'm tired of going to these and seeing the pity parties in the comments, heres what you need: °A decent camera (it doesn't have to be an iPhone, android devices work well too, just clean your lenses) °Good lighting (absolutely subjective, it depends on what mood you're going for in your selfies) °Know your angles (some people look best ¾ view, some look best from higher angles, just record yourself looking in different directions and tilting your head a bit at different angles and find what you think looks best) °Filters (theres snapchat filters that make it look like golden hour even when it's just daytime for you, and others that give things an aesthetic feel. If you want to learn to love yourself then dont use the ones that also facetune or else you'll start hating how your face looks even more) °CONFIDENCE (You dont have to be all "omg I am the HOTTEST most S3XY PERSON EVER" obviously, but trying to take pictures of yourself when you feel bad will end up looking bad. If you feel you aren't going to look good then your camera will show because you're subconsciously already telling yourself you're gonna fail and making yourself feel bad) Things that are optional are decent outfits (literally just wearing a hoodie is good) and light makeup if there are features that you have that you want to draw more attention to (eyes, for example). You dont need to be extremely attractive with clear skin and an overpriced phone to look good in pictures. You don't need expensive clothes to be pretty. Marilyn Monroe still looked hot as hell wearing a potato sack, and the only reason acne is stigmatized to be a bad thing is because everyone thinks it means your dirty when you're just growing up. I bet most of you guys are, like, barely teenagers, maybe even 16. You dont need to look like a model yet, and even when you grow up unless that's the job you're going for you still dont need to look like one. This is going to sound harsh, but you guys really need to fix how you view yourselves before blaming others for something you want to achieve. Comparing yourselves to these girls the way how you guys are doing it is v toxic, especially for your mind and self image
