Loved this. Thomasville, you can't go wrong! I love the color and I actually liked it prior if there had been no damage! I do love this, it reminds me of a library with the hardware. What a beautiful piece of furniture. I would actually put it in an office with and boy would that compliment it with a office desk and chair and lovely lamp........CLASS ACT. Great job! You have always had an educators approach to your videos but more recently you've kicked it up a notch! This approach is so helpful to the less experienced. Your furniture aesthetic is more modern than I prefer or what sells in our market but your workmanship is impeccable. Having said that, you know your buyer base well and turn out products that move. Especially in the current economy, that is critical if you do this for income (vs hobby that pays for itself as I do!).

I’m with you Lauren, it’s also one of my favourite pieces you’ve done. It’s just simply *chefs kiss* I would actually list it for $1000 it’s a great name, solid wood, lots of storage, it’s a beautiful stunning one off piece. Also if you list it for $1000 it also gives you a bit of wiggle room if people want a cheeky haggle & then even if somehow they haggle you down to 900 you would still be over the moon with that price. I think this will sell so quickly. The colour is perfect for it & that hardware is amazing. Both together are a marriage made in heaven 😍

Great solution with the dowel! If you decide to do this style again, you could save a lot of time by popping chalk lines to mark the hardware holes, or you could even draw them on and drill them pre-finish.

As I was watching the conversation about how to fill those leftover hardware holes, I thought about how you could potentially use the dowels and utilize them as handles - leaving them longer by an inch or so, notched in a creative way and then used as the handles. Maybe a different solution if faced with this type of hardware problem in a future project. Loved the end product!
