I’m not a hunter. I don’t own a gun. In fact, I don’t like killing (thanks military). But people need to understand that this is control in order to keep their livestock and families safe. If you happened on this video expecting rainbows and sunshine for the coyote, a nasty friggin predator, you came to the wrong place. This is necessary. It has to be done. There are plenty of other channels you can watch where coyotes are treated just fine; I would suggest going there instead of wasting time here. To the video creator, keep up the good work.
@jinjaesan96225 ай бұрын
These are the same guys that would shoot your dog or any other animal that u own without second thought btw, keep defending channels like these
@CephalonAxii5 ай бұрын
@@jinjaesan9622 That's some hardcore projecting. Because 1, lets inject some logic into the scenario. IF a dog is found on a person's property, they would have a hard time justifying shooting it JUST for being on their property. However, if said dog decided to hunt down possible livestock that the land owner also owns, then it doesn't matter frankly if that dog has an owner and they got lost. Dead livestock hurts a person's livelihood, and puts them well within their rights to shoot that dog dead. As a matter of fact, that's exactly what the coyotes in this very video do, in case you are unaware. Hence why these hunters, and anyone else in their shoes, has the right to cull the coyote population to more managable numbers. And 2, you don't know these guys AT ALL if you got the impression that they would happily shoot a dog that isn't a stray nor is causing any harm to anyone's property or animals. Please educate yourself on the fragile ecosystem, and the fact that if these sorts of efforts of culling wild animals numbers were not done, overpopulation and famine would occur for said animals AND domino effect to other animals in the ecosystem.
@jinjaesan96225 ай бұрын
@@CephalonAxii how about building better fences so these ''dogs'' or the coyotes on the video only hunt wild stuff? no? need to kill them because it's fun right? because that's exactly the kind of sentiment they transmit in this video, they are having fun killing, that's my problem with it, they not only killed coyotes but foxes as well, and if for you a person having fun killing animals isn't a red flag then I don't know what is, they even put slow motion on the kills like, come on now. Next thing you gonna say is that this is called an art or a sport as well right?
@CephalonAxii5 ай бұрын
@@jinjaesan9622 If an animal wants into somewhere, or to leave somewhere, they will find a way. I had a few dogs who wandered around our property and beyond, despite how large it was. We lost one due to his nature of exploration in a car accident, and I was able to stop another from following his fate by training it out of her. And even if one could build a good enough fence, how much would that cost? Over an entire property? Especcially when most farms have enough on their plate feeding their livestock and families as is. And again, you are hardcore projecting. While I don't find hunting my particular cup of tea either, hunting isn't so different from fishing, which seems far less grusome when compared to hunting with a gun. But no, hunting in itself isn't a red flag. It's not pretty, but it doesn't have to be. It's a necessity for life as we know it on this planet, for us and the animals. So again, you don't have to like it, but it is necessary. Imperative, even. Do they enjoy it? Of course. Because just like painting was Bod Ross' calling in life, hunting for them is theirs. They take pride in terminating the animals as humanly as possible, making sure they don't suffer. Which is not an easy feat mind you, being a good enough shot to out them in a single trigger pull. So yeah, they enjoy knowing how good they are at their job, which yes this is likely their main source of income. Using the channel to show their work to potential clients. The foxes were killed because they can do just as much harm as a coyote can to a person's livestock. Especially chickens.

I doubt it's just their property. They likely are a business going from one place to another, most likely hired by farmers who are having predator problems or just survey an area for activity then hunt. They are a Facebook group too. Coyote and Bobcat wise, they do run rampant killing farm animals and pets in most areas so killing them is likely allowed year-round depending on how far in the sticks people are. But a licence is required for hunting and a special license for night hunting. Or at least thats how it is in Alabama as an example.

I'm not from the states but I've heard that coyotes are vicious little bastards. Also that squeaky sound is the exact same type of sound I get when I clean my windows.

I get killing the coyotes and even the 1 fox…but why the cats? Don’t the cats kill rodents and rabbits? Not criticizing, just here to learn.

City folks moved my way. At the country store you see many missing pet posters. One lady putting up a fresh poster of her yorkie, I asked do you let him out at nights? She yes. I told a coyote got or an owl maybe an eagle. Next pet get a medium to large dog.

La mejor solución es guardar las mascotas por la noche y por el día no dejarlas salir sin vigilancia.
