WHAT IS AN INTENT IN ANDROID | EXPLICIT AND IMPLICIT INTENT TUTORIAL.

So intent is basically use communicate between two activities in Android.
Intent can be bascially used to communicate between 2 activities inside the same app or to communicate between two activities in different app.
There are two types of intent
1. Explicit Intent
2. Implicit Intent
Explicit Intent - In explicit Intent the communication takes place between 2 activities inside the same application
Implicit Intent - In implicit intent communication takes place between 2 activities of different application
Implicit intent is basically used for starting services like
Like phonecall, sms, maps, etc
Intents are also used to pass data from one activity to another activity

This is UTTERLY wrong. For activities of different applications to communicate, they use BROADCAST INTENT and not implicit intents. An explicit intent works by clearly stating the class name of the activity it is trying to launch whereas an implicit intent works by specifying the operation to take place and occassionally the data on which the operation is to be performed and the JAVA RUNTIME decides on which activity to launch by a process called INTENT RESOLUTION.

English is plural sensitive. It throws an error if you write "application" when syntax requires "applications". It's also article sensitive. You are not allowed to leave out indefinite articles.
