Eventhough Strydom targeted black people this man did not know this. Therefore from his experience he is psychologically a survivor. In that moment he did not know the intentions of the shooter. The fear, trauma and panic he experienced is very real. Yes he witnessed the killings, however his fear and trauma is so real. He was just a boy.

so the guy who shot and killed innocent black PEOPLE, sentenced life only spent 4years and was released. while there are people who were fighting the struggle are still in jail. Dali Ndyebo is was recently arrested for his wrong doings at the time. if the guy was 23 now he's 53 he should be arrested people lost parents, siblings, relatives and friends and he's walking free having killed INNOCENT PEOPLE. TRC was unfair in some cases like this one

The mandate of the TRC was to provide the historical background, to set individual violations within that context and to give a voice to certain survivors or their families. Those families never got justice.

White man here, I know I'm late, sorry man. The "survivor" is a witness and he is a clown who is looking for media attention. This Barend Strydom poes does not deserve to be walking amongst us, he should be re-tried for the murder of innocent people. If he was fighting for his beliefs at the time, then he should have gone for high value targets, not normal people. One doesn't kill average people in the street to create change. Go get him!

"Klein Baas"...wow. I recall my dad calling his employer's son , a boy of about 13yrs, that. I was in my early teens. The boy would call my dad by his name. Yet blacks in SA are the ones still extending the olive branch ....
