Median home price in USA is nearing half a million. Median rent is $2000 a month. Median wage is $64k or about $3700 a month. 30% of that income is $1500 a month; the most you should spend on housing. Where's he gonna go? Upstate NY has skyrocketed in cost of living since remote work took thousands of upper-middle class office workers out of NYC. Baby Boomers own almost a third of the homes in the USA. They won't let go of their second or vacation homes, and there's a housing crisis going on. This is just funny because it hasn't happened to anyone you care about yet.
