But I also think that maybe you should try to find a way to turn down the audio from the original video in Japanese so that you could hear the translations better. This is only my honest opinion and I’m not trying to be mean or anything. I like watching videos without having to read the subtitles, I mean from time to time It’s ok, but I love your videos so much, they make me feel relaxed so if you want to do it this way, I’ll find it a bit of a shame because, it’s a bit overwhelming and not relaxing anymore this way 🙁

my personal opinion is that it feels quite overwhelming hearing two different languages at the same time, and sometimes the audio is softer and sometimes it goes louder. and there were times when the audio goes a little faster than the subtitle but maybe its just me haha. but hey other than that, love this video!! love watching you open mystery lucky bags. have a good new year minori!

@ there might be other viewers who prefer the AI voiceovers, and either ways in this video i could toggle the AI voiceover off in the settings, so i could still enjoy the video with japanese + eng sub! :) so perhaps you can still move forward with the AI voiceover if it means putting off a work load off your shoulders ^^ (also, one of my goals is to learn japanese this year, so i can definitely use your videos as a start to learn!)

Not sure how to get AI English to work. Watched with your subtitles. It was a bit fast and hard to keep up with. I’m dyslexic so I needed to stop and rewind every few minutes. Happy new year!

Honestly it's a bit confusing 😕. Its not easy to understand what you are saying as both the Japanese and English audios overlap if we use the audio . I recommend using only one language be it Japanese or English and have subtitles in the other language . I hope this helps😊

Hi Minori, love your content and it’s so interesting to hear you speak Japanese! Such a different video. I did watch this with your English subtitles that you put on the screen, but while although helpful, I’m then in two minds to read the subtitles and then I’m not focused on the products you’re showing as my mind is too busy reading the subtitles and I miss it completely. It’s definitely overwhelming! As with the pace of languages and as any have mentioned about the pace and speed of the subtitles as they don’t match what you’re saying, which can be hard for people to read and then pause and then start again. Hope the feedback helps, these lucky bags are fabulous and they’ve got some great quality items in them xx

I am fluent in English and have usually no problem reading subtitles (eg just watched squid game in korean with subs without a problem) but this format literally made my head hurt, it wasnt enjoyable to watch unforunately. Idk if the format of the haul doesnt work with subs, if it was just all way too fast with you talking a lot faster and with lots of jumpcuts, or if it was something else, but it was draining for me to watch. I saw your suggestion to slow down the subs, but how would you even do that? I will probably try once more to watch the next japanese video of yours with subs, but if its still not enjoyable I will probably skip them in the future, eventhough I really enjoyed your content. I am sorry that your idea to combine your japanese and international audiences isnt going as you had hoped :(

Thank you so much for your honest opinion! I believe I made the font a little hard to read, and on top of that everything was a little too rushed. I would love to try it again with a different font +.better pacing with fewer words. Also, haul videos are probably the worst out of all to be honest. Art videos are a lot easier to work with subtitles wise.

Sorry, everything about this is just too overwhelming. I spend more time trying to keep up with the subtitles then enjoying the actual video and seeing what you are doing. My eyes can either be on you are what you are showing or on the caption and reading what you are saying. But I can't do both, and I certainly do not want 2 different voices talking at me,that just makes things even more confusing. So, as much as I love this channel if this is the new format, I'm afraid I can't stay 😢

True. I did both watching and reading subtitles but she talks so fast sometimes that I had to rewind to check what the subtitles said or what the product looked like. It felt like I was in a race. I feel if she slows down the talking. We can read and watch more comfortably 😊

Long time fan of you Minori, I love your videos! I don't mind the switch, but I think the pacing and size of the subtitles made it hard to watch the video and pay attention to what was going on at the same time. An easier to read font + a slight blur under the words will make them standout more. Also, slowing down the pace even slightly so us slow readers can catch up! Helvetica is great for dyslexic readers and I think an overall easy-to-read font!

As someone who's been watching you and your videos over three years now, I sadly can't get behind the direction of content you're pursuing at this moment. The sudden switch felt very unnatural for me since I was expecting to be happily greeted to a Minori video in English as that's the normal that's been established ever since you created this channel. I remember you specifically saying that you wanted to create content for your international audience, i.e. those who don't understand or speak Japanese, which led to this channel being born. I'm not sure why you're shafting the original intent apart from you expressing that you're more comfortable communicating in your native language. That's very understandable, but you already have a channel dedicated to your Japanese audience, so I don't see why you'd feel the need to merge your content. This channel is living proof that your content for an international audience is a grand success, so I would like you to keep continuing to make such content for this channel and keep it mostly in English. At least, this is just my personal take on things thus far. You're welcome to do as you please, Minori, but I might not stick around as much since I'm not a huge fan of having to focus on subtitles more rather than the actual content. That just takes a lot more effort for me - I watch your videos for comfort.

Hi Minori! I love the lucky bag hauls! I would prefer the videos not include the AI dubbing. The feature is neat, but the way it's implemented is a a bit unpleasant as it plays the dub over the original track. Plus, I have personal qualms about the ethics of AI and the way it impacts the environment. I don't mind reading subs when needed. Happy New Year!

I am luckly used to reading subtitles from watching a row of subed videos and Jdrama over the years, but Minori was quit fast, so I had a few troubles reading the subtitles. I think the fact is, my own language is a lot slower spoken so my brain isn't used that much for reading so fast, especially not when English is not even my first language

Hi Minori! I have to watched your videos for a while now! It is sad people don’t want to watch anymore due to you switching to speaking your native language and English as sub (p.s. I also understand that this could be due to people having difficulty reading due to disability, so it’s understandable and fair as to why they may make this decision of not watching❤). My personal opinion is that this format of speaking Japanese and sub in English is good for me (I haven’t tried the ai as I’m good with sub) probably bc I commonly watch international KZbinrs who have eng subtitles, Korean variety shows, and I also watch international dramas. I think people just need some time to get use it as it is something new and I totally understand that it can be confusing at the beginning but once your brain adapts, you won’t even realize that they are speaking different language! Plus you pick up words along the way. Lastly, if this something you want to continue and you like it then you should keep doing it! ❤

I love the craft stuff, minus the fact that all the yarn is wool. I'm highly allergic to wool and so all my crochet work has to be done in other fibers, which severely limits me if I want to go to local, small business, yarn stores. Everything they have has wool in it and only one store has had plant based fibers. Still love the box anyway. Also, squeaking those toys got my own dog's attention. She was not thrilled that I didn't have a toy in hand when she came running.
