$300 Kawasaki ER5 gets some love. Full service time!

Paid 1300 euros for a 2001 last year 🤡 full of issues but was my first bike at 25yo and I had the money saved up, was in another town, and really loved this kawasaki, full of issues and no history lol but hey at least I've been learning a lot wrenching on it and having loads of fun both on the road and in the garage!

Those fuel shut off valves are a mare. Change it for a plain grav fed tap ASAP. One other thing. You can't have to many washing up bowls in a workshop. So handy for storing bits and catching fluids.

How much oil did it take to fill? Just bought one and it kinda looks like it's having same problems. The started included.

any idea why my fuel guage has stopped working it was working before i took the tank off and moved it to the side but i didn;t disconnect it. i didnt put any stress on the lines either. any advice much appreciated.

Hey mate, hard to say without being there diagnosing it with you. But it sounds like you have either punched the guage wire or it has come unplugged if it was working perfectly before.

But i had a lot of work to turn it back to original state. The previous owner was turning it into a cafe race. Than lost interest and give it to a friend. Lucky for me all original parts were there.
