ABOUT ME
I’m 33 years old and I’m a sheep farmer from Ayrshire in South West Scotland, which is why I have such a strong accent! I was born and raised on a sheep farm watching my dad who was the shepherd.
At 18 I went away from farming to work in the city s a Police Officer and at 23 (2013) I decided I wanted to do something for some extra money so I went on a sheep shearing course. The hardest thing I’ll ever do was learning to shear sheep. [shudders thinking about it]
I shore whilst on my holidays from work for 2 years and then in 2015 my dad died so I decided to get my own sheep so I could continue working with sheep as it was something I loved doing. From there it escalated quickly from my first 4 sheep in my mum’s garden to now running around 1200 breeding ewes.
A few years ago I bought myself a sheep pregnancy scanner and have been building up my run since then.
I watched a few farm vlogs on KZbin and decided I could have a go and now here we are!
Since starting The Sheep Game I have met Lizzy and had two incredible boys Jock and Angus. You will see them all on this channel!

@@TheSheepGame That's how they learn, through you saying well done or taking them away from the situation and explaining why they shouldn't do that. It's no good saying no without telling them why, then they understand. I had 3 boys within 3yrs of each other and I was constantly talking to them and praising them, when it came to naughty behaviour I would take them away from that situation and explain why. 57 lambs I made it first trailer, sheep do stay in groups they know, for maybe 6 weeks anyway until they form a new wee flock, that Tapari is brilliant, saves all the catching and wrecking your back.

You having to hold the sheep to give them the dose reminded me when my sin was little. I literally had sit over him hold his hand while my husband held his nose to make open his mouth. Nethless to say him getting sick and needing meds was a circus 😂. Luckily it didnt happen too often

put the batteries and charger on a high shelf...kids can get burned by sucking on/swallowing batteries. (My nephew put a bean up his nose, and it sprouted...kids do dumb things.
