In all my years I've never had a 4x4 until 6 months ago. Drove on soft sand the other day and it was a piece of cake. KZbin taught me the basics of tyre pressure in sand. Done👍

Surely unhitched and turning this whole thing around would have been a lot smarter in every aspect. The door was wide open for serious incident or accident on this one!! Looks real soft, yet no traction boards, didn't see any additional psi adjustment (maybe it was already done?), just retching on that rear recovery point.

never unhitch
@Mouldyturnip755 ай бұрын
@@Trebior1why? That's not really a 'every situation ' response. I have had to with a 17ft van in tow in a rather sticky situation. It was the safest and most efficient, nothing broken, it was relatively fast and efficient. This guy had heaps of beach.

Painful to watch, it was never going to work trying to pull out backwards....how something didn't break thru that whole exercise amazes me !!!

This reminds me when i first tried 4wd green as didnt know nothing hit a sand trap with a trailer on no snatch strap no compressor nothing thankfully a guy came along and got me out for the rest of the trip i stayed at the caravan park and didnt even go near the sand big learning curve , now i carry everything straps ,shovels , compressor , deflater , trax the lot even on medium to hard i still deflate my tyres really taught me a lesson .

It’s hard to say without being there but maybe a front recovery would have been a better choice ? Or remove the camper

If your not prepared to adjust your tyre pressures to the terrain you will be in a world of pain . That sand is very soft and tyre pressures should be 12psi or even 10psi to have any chance and don't forget the camper trailer .
@LittleWeekendWarriors5 ай бұрын
I thought more air in the tyres is better to float more easily across the sand.
@jon.bennett5 ай бұрын
I start at 18psi and adjust accordingly to the conditions. I’ve sometimes been down to 8 to get through soft sand. As they say, ‘don’t be a clown, air down’.
@TheSkskitey5 ай бұрын
@@LittleWeekendWarriors The more air you let out of your tyres you increase the bottom surface area and that allows the car to "float" across the sand . If the tyre hard it just digs into the soft sand .

LC300 guy shouldn’t go anywhere near soft sand with his skills ( or lack of ) 😂😂😂

Why do people need F'ing caravans and all that crap anyway ? The joy has gone out of camping it obviously.

Wilbinga definitely aint the beach for a camper trailer and some average 4x4ing skills.

Unfortunately, after following the seashores, I discovered that there are some stupid drivers who do not lower the car's air pressure to 15 PSI.

All the gear and definitely no idea !! Well maybe not all the gear, another shackle and a tree trunk protector as a bridle between the 2 recovery points. What did these muppets actually think would happen only attaching to one point !!

As a Cruiser owner, that was hard to watch. I think I will keep the 200.
