Hi Guys I got mine over a month ago after reading the spec's and all and it was on sale for less then $300 . I am so glad I did for I only use a laptop when away from my set up or the power goes out. This I love that now I bring it up in the morning so when hanging around before Wifie gets up I can check emails - Twitter - KZbin and yes Facebook . The battery life is great I only charge it like every other day and like the others that only give 4gb of ram this came with 8gb. Thanks for the video and could you do one on how to tweak the THX. What would make the laptop much more worth it is if they took out the other m.2 slot and put in another sodimm slot, that would have made it 10x better because then it could have actually been king of its price bracket with being able to play some triple a titles but not many

If the price is still around $400 to $500 for this laptop (from the price increase), then I recommend the HP Pavilion 15.6 FHD laptop (which is around $500). It has the same CPU but has a 1 terabyte hard drive and a 128 gigabyte ssd. (I don’t know if the ram is upgradeable)

If your considering buying this, get a 1080p camera if your planning on doing school with it or lower, he said it wasn’t a really good camera I think you should go for an 720p camera or 1080p.

I built my own riser to make my old IBM notebook cooler and a big fan the laptop was always cool. I made sure my regular fan didn't rotate and created a like wind tunnel under laptop I put it opposite of laptop's fan grill made sure wind wasn't going in. Darn thing worked perfectly the bottom was always cool compared to flat on wood surface. I never bought those cooling fans that go on the bottom my cousin had one and collected a lot of dust, I just used the 16" circulating fan.

I just snagged the HP 14-DK0022WM for $249. Has Ryzen 3 3200U, 4 GB 2400Mhz, Sata M.2 and the upgrade path is amazing!! I got a 2×8gb Viper 2400Mhz RAM kit (max speeds) and then a XPG SX6000 Lite 512GB M.2 NVME. For a budget laptop, I couldn't believe the upgradability. My mom got one and was able to add the 4GB that came in mime to hers for free.

The main drawback of this laptop is since there is only 1 8gb stick of RAM inserted into the SO-DIMM slot that means it's running in single channel mode which really hurts memory bandwidth and the graphical performance of these newer Ryzen APU's as they rely on system memory completely. The Ryzen APU also allocates 2gb of the 8GB system RAM for itself so you really only have about 6GB of dedicated system RAM to use and that's not counting what the OS allocates to itself so even less.

From my experience, in these super cheap laptops, the motherboard is of inferior quality. Make sure that there is at least a 2 yr warranty on this thing.

@@ToastyBros did a couple of things wrong..I get it only one dimm but upgrade the memory go in the bios set the limit to 2gbs then get ryzenadj set the tdp to 22/25 watts also be better if you get a dual channel laptop so you can compare the difference

Jude Price hey. I also had a laptop from like 2011 or something with an A8-4555m with DDR3 and it couldn’t even get 15fps in CS:GO competitive lowest settings 720p. I recently bought a £500 laptop with a Ryzen 7 3700U and it’s soooo much better. I run basically any esports title at like 80-120fps 1080p and could even play some older AAA titles at 60fps. Such an awesome upgrade.

Turk Tech good for a work laptop. It can handle old games pretty well but newer games not so much at all. I got it for college work and it works perfect for that

Soldier plays I have a pc I game on ther had MacBook but too expensive and I wasn’t using for like editing or etc so I sold it I just got jumper ezbook x3 pro pretty goo laptop and bezels are so thin I will try use it if I don’t like return and get motile there are couple laptops may have better specs than mine but they almost same and like i said I will use it for network movies etc so
