That was epic. I don't know if I would have had it in me to keep going if it was me. And on top of that, I honestly didn't expect such a good placement. The Explorer is probably the heaviest stock ski you can buy, and I thought that would have hurt your chances, but you still outdistanced stock supercharged skis - that's mental! Bravo to you sir!

It was 28 actually! I just went and checked the official posted results. So I wouldn’t have won, you’re right. That said I did 25 timed laps (by my pit crew) and was only given 24 officially. Regardless, as my first race and one of only 4 people to attempt to Ironman the whole event, I’m still proud of my result!

Well done mate. You can see the limit of the Explorer Pro very quickly. There wasn't any chop (proper white caps) till after your 17th lap which looked to be normal bay/offshore conditions and the Explorer was getting rissoled. Imagine if you had a ski that is better in rough water mate! That's amazing well done 👏

Those conditions were far from normal bay offshore conditions I can tell you that!

@@AdamSwords cmon brother it's just a lake! If you rode a Kawi or a FX it would blast through that chop with ease compared to a ST3 hull. You are having to really fight the steering on a ST3 because the nose is biting into the cross waves. Always been the achillies heel of the Seadoo hull design sadly but they do everything in calm water amazingly well. Super impressed to see how many miles you covered with all the hard going on that lil machine mate congrats! I know how hard it is to ride a ST3 in rough conditions
