** Good morning, let the busy part of this trip begin! Ever seen a combine pulling a 50ft header going around the Regina Bypass? Then get escorted by the "Bypass security"?.. 😂 Well we are about too!

Bet that pilot car showed up because of people calling you in. I find humor in running a scanner when transporting equipment and hearing about yourself but the sheriffs just wave when they go by🤣

In 1971 I drove a 105 JD from Centerville Md. to LaPlata Md. about 75 miles, but I had to cross the Cheasapeak Bay bridge which is around 5 miles. Max speed 11 mph. Wednesday afternoon in August. Backed up the traffic across Kent Island. Now two bridges, only two lanes then. Then there was a house on a truck sent the other way on the bridge. I rubbed the right tires on the guard rail. Toll 75 cents.

Mike you are so right about people being afraid to pass. When I am the 3rd, 4th, 5th car back I am very careful when passing because one of those first few cars that are to scared to pass might get up their courage and pull out just as I am going by them. Just drive people, just drive.

I like the hyper lapse! To be perfectly honest I can’t watch the road trip videos. The whine of the engine is like a lullaby and puts me to sleep. The hyper lapse however didn’t. It might be a good idea to do this often on the road trip videos. I just found your channel a couple of weeks ago. I have watched about 50 or 60 videos so far. Thanks, have a blessed day.

24:36 ha glad I'm not the only one who ducks when driving under things. Especially when cleaning out our 12' tall cattle barn, I know I've got plenty of clearance but I still duck my head every time I drive in the barn 😂

It always amazes me the people who can watch a video but hear nothing that was said. The very first part in this video Mike explains in detail why he roads equipment versus other methods. Yet people still comment asking why he roads equipment.

It's been interesting anyway. I just drove 7400 miles with my F350 Platinum and Cirrus truck camper from Florida to Washington and I averaged 70 miles per hr. I was going to drive the Alaskan Highway to follow the route that my dad worked on in 1942. He was an engineer on the Highway. When I got to the Border to enter Canada on August 7th they would not let me enter even though I had all the necessary paperwork. Covid is the reason and there still not open until September 21st. The only reason I mentioned this was I'm 70 and Don't think I can endure that long drive again. So you driving a Combine that far is crazy. It definitely is amazing what you do. I'm going to subscribe by the way I hope it helps your channel out

Awesome! Our dairy farms are 150 miles apart. Instead of a combine we road our claas choppers down the highway’s. A little more of a busy area than you. And you are exactly right you always get those people who are to afraid to pass, I’ll get over in the side ditch a little kind of trying to signal for them to pass, they still don’t. Then they are so kind when they pass after 10 minutes while I’ve been up in my cab yelling “PASS” like they can hear me, they tell I’m number 1. Gets me every time lol 😂

Heck one time we had a mile long line and a police officer flew past and pulled us over. The back up happen in less than 15 min and we were on a curvy road with steep side ditches. We were literally going to pull over where the officer had us pull in. He wasn’t happy
@ernestrollins383
@ernestrollins383 3 жыл бұрын
Generally I find that people will only pass when it isn’t safe to. With a nice wide road they get scared even with the shoulders, but a curved narrow road they will pass without even slowing. Lol

Do you have two way radios in the combines In Australia channel 40 is the designated trucker channel so when we move machines we go to 40 and listen for traffic like wide loads approaching Handy to announce your own presence if your going over a bridge or something so trucks are aware we're around and don't get a surprise when they come round a corner We have almost all 2 lane hwys amd even some 1 lane roads

Mike love your videos, just be sure to put on your seatbelts when on the road or transporting with a head on from field to field. I watched a video where a corn head broke of going down the road , the farmer went through the windshield and landed in the road. The wiring was pulled loose that stopped the combine from running him over.
@lt1nut

Further info: that farmer freely admits that he hadn't pinned the head and those wires were pinch-cut by the console(or whatever it's proper name is) when it came down after being dislodged and flying up.

I'm travelling Australia in a Toyota Coaster and I travel at about at a maximum of 85 kph I am always checking my mirrors for faster vehicles most don't appreciate when I let them go some do some don't but being an ex trucker I understand what they are thinking and I also understand the logistics of you moving your equipment as you do I don't know if the same rule applies in Canada but here you always give way to the bigger vehicle also congratulations to both you and Ashtyn on the imminent arrival of your baby hope it all goes well bye

I feel like companies should use you guys for durability testing! not saying you abuse your equipment just use it to its full potential more or less.
