Diana MR is my daily driver now. I use with TUBE mini and the sound is phenomenal for a tiny system.

I used this exact config, with suede bass ported pads, for a week, and it was a really great pairing. I'd love to try it again with the tube mini with it's base station. I hear great things about it.

I dig the magnetic pads for easy changing. This is the Way!! How is the comfort of that headband? It's crazy that SMSL released a model named SU-X. It looks like it's spelled to sound like "SMSL Sucks". Not great marketing SMSL.

they wanted to sound cool like iphone X, but there brand name SU-X negated the cool factor, but to be fair it’s a chinese not american company so they probably aren’t thinking of SUX lol

the headband still feels little cushion but i’m still using it stock. The new MR all come with a headband now unfortunately i got mine b4 the new gen :(

It’s funny, I watched your MR videos about a month ago when I was considering buying a pair, but ultimately decided the price tag was too high for me. Recently, I picked up a pair of HE6se v2 for $400, and found it encouraging that you like those cans too. I’ve been very happy with them, but the MR will always intrigue me. Odd though, they seem very polarizing in terms of reviewer opinions

@@jpe30 yeah he6se v2 for its price to performance it’s pretty incredible. I always feel like i have the perfect average head that most things fit me well, like air pods pro fit in my ears perfectly and the MR fits well for me

Love your videos. I want to hear the MR so bad but a little more than I can afford now. Very hard to find used/open box. I love my HE6se V2, but they can be a little bright for me at times. My fav planar now is my HEk Stealth. It has the best tuning for me which is detailed and slightly warm of neutral. Would love to a/b with the MR.

i did earpad swap mine to dekoni hifiman hybrid earpads i think they reduce the treble slightly and making it warmer. I find the HEK a lot brighter than he6se v2 for me

Have you ever heard the Diana TC or DZ? If so, do either of them do better for the aspect you mention of sounding more real like you are there? That’s also my pursuit in audio, a realistic at the performance like sound with immersive soundstage. If you haven’t heard those two, are there any headphones that did this sense of realism better for you?

I have heard the Diana TC, its tuning is less natural sounding than the Diana MR, i think Diana MR is better sense of realism than the Diana TC. I should be able to try the Diana DZ next month at Canjam Socal! Keep in mind the recording, like it your listening to a live recording like on "Tiny Desk Concert" youtube its going to sound live. If your listening to songs on spotify that are studio recordings, they will sound like studio recordings.

Thank You. I am strongly considering these but I own the Chord Mojo Poly and need to know if that would be a good match for these. Do you have an opinion ? I mainly listen with Roon at home and SD card of my Poly on the go.

really odd question, i have a set of these and i have the stock pads. In my experience when the ac is on it creates a micro environment in the earcups and moisture builds on the baffles of the headphone. In your experience does the bass ported version negate this since its vented ?

Hi Ryan i play on ps5 what do you think would be best sennheiser 660s2 there on sale or the meze 109 pro headphones what's your opinion which ones would you choose to your knowledge those Diana are too expensive thank you

i would choose the sennheisee hd660s2, the meze 109 has a treble boost that i find grating to listen too
